Not only does Steve play with the ball too much, but he’s not very good at it. I see him lose control of the ball several times a game and turn it over at least once trying to be cute out there. This is yet another reason why he’ll be shipped out this summer.

Do you mean Steve's dribbling or my post?

Well, either way, I have to agree. Is any post on this board necessary?

    This poll: awesome
Steve masturbating with the ball: rediculous

The few times that his crossover actually loses the defender, he just pulls it back and lets the man recover. Every time he does that I just want to take the ball and beat him to death with it.

SF has a great crossover but not as good as tim hardaway. before tim hardway injured his knee, he was unstoppable. and unlike SF and AI(who carries the ball) who use their lightning quick crossover to show up his opponents, hardaway used it to beat his opponents.

does SF know when he got his opponents beat?

doesn't seem like he know that because he often continues to do his crossover.

tim hardaway... wow... good player. someone who could average 20+ points AND 10+ assists. Who does that anymore? Beside my NBA live character that is.

It's a good post for debut. He had a bad game last night I think due to fatigue and altitude. He's passing the ball a lot better. His has a lot of turnovers learning to pass to Yao but that education should be completed by next year.

I think this is because steve is most comfortable crossing someone over then taking a jumpshot. You'll notice that when heads left then takes one big dribble back to his right side, he's usually pretty good with his jumper. He would be much more effective if he could learn how to catch and shoot, develop a midrage floater, or try to attack the rim more often. Of course it seems like he often gets into trouble when he penetrates (i.e. getting called for a charge, getting in the air then throwing the ball away), so maybe that isn't the answer either.

Man, people have no sense of humor. Why are 3/4 of the voters picking the last option?

Every time I see him play (and I have been doing it for what seems like an eternity) I wonder, what is he thinking??!! And you know what I have concluded? He isn't!

Please oh please, a gift for longsuffering Rocket's fans everywhere, a new point guard next season. I don't care where you put him or where you send him. But please, Rockets, and I am begging, no more Steve Francis at the point, we have suffered enough.

He's fond of fondling the leather.

But seriously, what worries me is his quote in the paper...that the reason we lost is because he didn't score enough. That's not how a point guard should think...the turnovers have a lot to do with it too. Pain is the stimulus for change. Does Steve Francis feel bad about turning it over? I don't know. What should have been on the forefront of his mind is that he turned it over 6 times rather than he didn't score enough.

Steve dribbles too much, he has the ability to just blow passed his man but he just has to cross his man over. I use to have this same problem until I took the advice of my friends and brother that I didn't need to dribble the ball about a thousand times before making something happen. Oh yeah concerning the turnovers, I'll tell you it's extremely embarrassing to turn the ball over that many times in a game.

Whenever I play ball against people I really want to beat I avoid turnovers like the plague. Whenever I play with people I know and we're just having fun, I floss a little bit...but there is a definite difference in the things I do and don't do when I wanna win bad.

The object in basketball last I heard was how many times you put the ball in the bucket not how many times you dribbed between your legs.
