That was about a perfect half-time show -- no 40 year old boobs, no kid rock wearing a flag .... win.
Springsteen's a goofball, but he's been that way since 1973 and he's never changed. He's acted like a crazyman in every show I've seen him (The Summit, 1984 and 1987, Cotton Bowl 1985, some show at the Music Hall, 6 other times), and no one puts on a longer, more energetic show than he does. He throws everything into his music and shows, and whether you like his music or not (Born to Run is a top 10 all-time album, Human Touch is forgettable), I don't see how anyone can't respect the guy. Forget the hype- he's just a very good artist who's created some of the best songs in rock history. <End of rant>
He did his rock n roll bit in the beginning Tenth Avenue Freeze out opened the set. Then Born to Run. Then some song with a choir, not sure. Ended with Glory Days.
I want the Steelers to win. But if the Cards come back and win this game after that play, I will respect them to the utmost and won't feel bad about the outcome.
Just not that into his music, but I can respect what he's accomplished and that he puts on a good show.
when I heard "james harrison was undrafted, got cut 3 times, and now is defensive player of the year" the first thing that popped into my mind is.. "james harrison is on steroids"
I thought it was funny, though a bit silly, how he mocked all the talk of him running WAY long during his halftime set with the ref and delay of penalty shtick.
I think he could have played a whole set, the stadium was loud as I have heard it. Springteen has always been like that, he is a goofball, but that's why I like him so much, he doesn't do anything normal!
that was intentional grounding... not roughing the passer (unless the rule is the pass has to hit the dirt?)
