Dude, I've been here for years. If you think that what you said would cause bad feelings, you missed a LOT.

These Amare and Yao comparisons are obfuscated. They don't even play the same position anymore with Shaq in the mix.

I know some of you will disagree, pointing to how Amare still plays the 5 with Shaq on the bench during small ball, but I still believe that Yao has the largest arsenal of post moves of any NBA player in the league today.

The only way to stop Yao is to crowd him before he gets in the paint and when he gets the ball (forcing him to dish the ball the cutters or to perimeter shooters), which can only be done through double and triple teams and help defense. Once you play man on man, it's over.

amare and yao are very both great players, and you can't go wrong with either one, but depending on your style of play, there may be a "better player" in terms of fitting into your system.

amare does have problems. can't post up, still worse than shaq at posting up. defense is ... ok, but u'd expect better with his athleticism.

yao also have problems. he tends to turn the ball over alot. can't shoot the 15-18 foot jumper, even though he can make free throws, a big minus, especially when he goes high to low post. though, he did make alot in his rookie season, so i have no clue what's going on here. not athletic, (can't do anything about that)

both players have improved alot. yao has become dominant big man. while amare has improved his shooting ability.
