heyo! well, late this summer (august), i am going with another friend backpackin in europe but will miss my pretty lady's birthday. and one month before that in july its our anniv. i think instead of buying some gift i would rather take her for a week or so somewhere.. i would like to stay in the states. i gotta save money since ill be in europe for a month. but was wondering what are good places to visit in july? i was thinking maybe seattle or san fran.... or new york.... i dunno. i was wondering if yal had any better ideas than I. let me know, and thanks a lot. jorge
Is the summer romance with your friend or your pretty lady? It appears as though all the money went on the trip with your friend. Keep it simple. Your pretty lady don't need fancy places. If she did, it wouldn't be love. A picnic by a lake and a condom would by fly.
San Fran or NYC for high end. If you want to stay in state, take her to the Hyatt resort near San Antonio or rent a bed and breakfast in the hill country.
ouch, yeah so im not romancin with my friend. gross.... well ive never been to san fran, but nyc isnt really that expensive. you can make it expensive though... i have a free place to stay at in new york and possibly san fran. i was just wondering if there were any better alternatives... the idea about goin to the hill country is a pretty damn good idea too.
My advice skip the Europe trip. Only bad things can come from it. For instance, you could be over there having the time of your life, but back home your lady could run into YoYao, and we all know how he feels about summer. Or worse yet, you could be in Europe having the time of your life and run into YoYao in the French Alps.
In the event that you end up being stuck at Eastern Europe... don't forget to stay far, far away from the Hostels there.
I stayed at a hostel in the city where the movie Hostel was supposed to take place (Bratislava). It wasn't that bad.
Glad you came out fine. This probably might come out as a little ignorant, but do things like that happen in Eastern Europe?
Unless you go to countries where less than 5 Americans probably visit in a year (i.e. Georgia), I don't believe so.
first off you didn't say what anniversary it is with you "pretty girl." i assume it is the 1st. I would say go to NY or SF since you have people to stay with, but what? where are you going to have sex in their place? the whole point of you making up for leaving with your buddy is to take your bday girl on a trip for fun and sex,...no? finalsbound....correct me if I'm wrong here? if you are from houston or texas and you like Rocketsman Tex's hillcountry idea, you might add to that idea Lost Maples (you can do SA while going there), Cado Lake (cheap cabins via the State Park but must order in advance), the Ozarks (for a longer roadtrip), or my biggest recommendation which is the multi lake place with gators about 1 1/2 hrs outside Houston. I can't remember the name off my head right now, but went there for a wedding. It is probably my #1 relaxing idea for how close it is to houston. It has Lakes in the name. anyone help me with this. sorry i'm just blanking out right now on the name.
