Quizno's is supremely better in every possible way. Variety, ingredients, service, cleanliness, originality, etc. The toaster was all Quizno's and Subway ripped it off from them.
If I wanted to eat something unhealthy, I'd probably choose something other than Quiznos. Another good sandwich I like is Vietnamese- style sandwiches. Anyone try those?
I've been on the sandwich search lately, how fitting! Quizno's over Subway for sure. Their toasted subs put em over. Chicken Carbonara might be my favorite sandwich of the past 2 years. I still frequent Subway cuz of restaurant availability and price though. We got Togo's at work 3 times last year and I went there the other day for lunch. I'm warming up to it - has a little of Subway price and Quizno quality. Tried Schlotzsky's months back and got sick, but that was from the fountain drink I'm sure. Sandwich was okay, I'd go back. Blimpies, its like Subway to me. (Houston thread but best value in SoCal - The Hat. They freaking load up some pastrami sandwiches. You WILL get full) Pretty good yes, would place it the 2nd/3rd best burger behind Whataburger. (We allowed to talk burgers?) I do NOT though for the life of me understand its IMMENSE draw. Its good don't get me wrong, but its so trendy a pic with everyone. Any random time, can be Wednesday at 10:30 pm and the drive-in can be 12 cars deep, inside packed with young people! Starting to wonder what they put in those burgers Cuz once people like In N Out they're hooked for life.
Are those the kind in that "baguette" bread? Mmmm MAN if so I had a BBQ Pork sandwich some time back that was hot and peppery but I loved it.
Yep, that is it. They include a hot pepper in the middle that you have to watch out for. I also get some spring rolls with my order.
man i was just thinking about this today after i went to quiznos for the first time in forever. i go to subway fairly often because it's cheaper and there's a whole bunch more of them. if pricewise they were the same and quiznos was closer by, i'd easily vote for quiznos. it's just a better sandwhich all around.
word... awesome place, the only setback is they only take cash, unless they starting accepting credit cards recently and they close freaking early, like 6-7? How is Potbelly? I just notice they opened one in the shopping center between Lakewood and the Mercedes dealership off of 59 and Weslayn. also as for Vietnamese sandwiches, go for Lee Sandwiches, there is one across the street from Hong Kong Supermarket on Bellaire and opening one soon in the same shopping center as Viet Hoa off of Beltway 8 and Beachnut. Its cheap as hell, like $2-3 for a 10 inch skinny baguette sandwich, but they dont skimp on the meat
Brown Bag now takes plastic. Pretty good sandwiches, great bread. They have quality roast beef. Subway's roast beef, I can't eat it at all. It has this funky rainbow film on it at every subway I've ever been to. Quizno's bread hurts my mouth, it's too dry. I think Schlotzchy's is way better than Quizno's for about the same price. Jimmy Johns is AWESOME. The Gargantuan is one of the best sandwiches ever made. Eat two, get one free Thundercloud subs has an amazing meatball sub. I miss that place. Also good is Delaware subs. Oh man, their sausage sub with sweet peppers is to die for.
I find both equally average, generic, etc. But Quiznos is way too expensive for a sub of sub-quality (ba-zing!). So Subway gets the vote. Jimmy John's veggie sandwich > any other sub franchise (this coming from a hard-core carnivore), so Jimmy FTW. Best sub I've ever had though is from a local Italian bakery. It's basically your classic prosciutto, fresh mozarella, red peppers sub. Simple, but prosciutto and fresh mozarella is too good.
Banh Mi beats any sub any day any time. No I'm not biased. I'm vietnamese I voted quizno's by the way.
