Within Windows Explorer, you can set your "view" to large icons, small icons, details, list, and thumbnails. Is there a way to default the view (specifically....to details) for every folder everytime you open explorer? Sorry for the dumb question; it's my job to know these things, and for the life of me, I can't remember a way.
Set one folder to 'details' view. From the Tools menu, select 'Folder Options' Click on "view" tab There, you will see a button that allows you to set all folders to the same view (select 'like current folder')
