At a "franchise" player, he at least should send Rockets into playoff. Nobody hate Francis, just the matter how coach should take advange of his talent and minimize his weakness.
Without Steve and Yao. Rox is a lottory team. Nobody doublted. But with Yao inside, Mo and Griffen improved, Steve need ajust his offensive if he want be as a PG. The last 3-4 seasons proved by himself, Rox is not a good team, period. With all our talent players, and his abilities, we are demanding more, a 100% playoff team, even a championship team. But so far, SF proved to be our team problem. Our team wins is too much depend on how he shoot. That is totally not acceptable, we need to win most of our games even when one of our main guy does not hot. We also need someone to be our clutch people who can keep our offense going in the 4th quarter in the close game. SF has the ability to do that, but he is the one cost us so far. Remember how many times, in 4th quarter he is dribble in and lose the ball, then compare to Stockton bring Jazz the 2 won in the 4th. (when they come from behind). Then you will understand what we need and what we do not need.
Yes, without Yao but with Hakeem, Walt and Matt who are apparently nothing right? So I suppose anybody that criticizes Steve, even when he makes boneheaded mistakes is a hater. Nobody on this team is above criticism, not Steve, Yao, anybody. You play good you'll get praised, you screw it up you'll get bashed. Plain and simple.
Who the hell is Matt? You mean Matt Bullard? Walt? You couldn't give that guy away. Think Glen Rice, only with less mobility and passing skills.
Hmm...didn't we just win? Anyway, aren't we better with only Steve or Cat? I mean look at the times when Cat were out, I think we were doing better than having both Steve and Cat at the same time. I could be wrong.
yah, Hakeem was great. but averaging 11.9ppg and 7.4rpg by playin only58 games wasnt that big of a factor
Hate is a very evil thing and a powerful word! I hope no fan of the Rockets hates Steve Francis but only hopes for the best of things for him! To be critical of his playmaking and wanting to see him in the Shooting Guard position, should not be thaught of as hate, but wanting the best of performances for our team!
