Anyone here study abroad during college? What were your experiences like? I was thinking of going to either Milan or Prague next year...any suggestions?

You really shouldn't limit yourselves to a single broad in college ~ you should take the time check them all out.

This is really excellent advice. If you don't have time to check them all out, at least get into as many as possible.

I studied abroad in Lyon, France two summers ago. Its a great experience being in Euorpe for a while and would highly reccomend doing it if you have the opportunity. On the weekends you can go all over the place on the Eurorail, but that much traveling can get expensive.

As for Prague or Milan i havent been to either of them. I did get a chance to get to Italy while I was over there and it was really great. The women there are probably the hottest in the world and the food is also great. I really wanted to go to Prague because it is supposed to be such a badass place to party but it was too far away.

If i had to choose between the two places id probably go with Milan since it it would give you better access by eurorail to more countries of interest. Prague is pretty far away from most of the popular places to go. But if you have any friends going on a particular trip you may want to go with that.

yeah, it was really cheap. I remember spending less than $5 or so on a dinner with wine etc. Things were really really cheap there.

The city is pretty, and does have a good night life. I don't know, from what i remember it was a fun place to check out.

Both Prague and Milan are excellent choices. Prague is cheaper, but Milan is in Italy, with all the advantages Kilgore Trout has already pointed out. Then again, Czech girls are pretty, too.

Milan is nice in the center, but the outskirts of the city are ugly. Overall, the city is more of a commercial center than a beautiful city (as opposed to, e.g., Florence).

    Prague is great for partying.

Do it, you will love it! :)

Forget those two. Go to Amsterdam. And there you can study as many broads as you like for 50 euros each.

I studied in Rome and traveled all over. Eastern Europe is cheap. Rome is the greatest city in the world.

I'm studying abroad in Hong Kong right now! And let me tell you, it'll be the best experience of your life. I looooove it so much. And I'm sure being in Europe you'll have tons of fun travelling to all the cities. Definitely go abroad ANYWHERE if you have the opportunity. If I could give you one piece of advice about college, that would be it.

You'd be surprised how fast you pick up a language when you are submerged in it. I studied abroad in Taiwan, and I was surprised how fast I was able to pick it up (I'm not a master or anything, but I can get by). You just have to try and not be shy.

As the others have mentioned, studying abroad is an excellent experience. If you get chance, definately do it.
