You guys don't know how hard it is to pick up a business like this. As soon as I have a decent show going I'll let you know where I am at. This is a process...a very long process. Today is Saturday and it's busy, didn't expect this...but it's a welcome surprise nonetheless. What do you expect for Memorial Day Weekend, and how does the club do on holidays in general? Are they open on Thanksgiving, Xmas?
This is less a strip club diary than it is a -- 'hey, i'm opening a new strip club, come check it out.'

So Michael's got raided last Thursday...they took 7 girls to jail and one manager. If that's not bad enough, 2 of the girls were minors...one was 15 and the other one was 17. The manager (one of my ex co-workers that's screwed us over) is being charged with aggravated prostitution of a minor, and the club is being investigated to determine who's at fault. His bail was posted at $150,000 and he had to pay $15,000 to get out. Well...let me tell you what happens next, the city of Houston is gonna try their best to shut Michael's down and they probably will. Every club in the history of Texas that has been caught prostituting minors has gotten shut down. It's inevitable. And the manager? He got 15 years in prison for having ONE minor, this dumba$$ had 2!!! That's as bad as it gets. He's getting charged as if he was pimping these girls openly. That's the risk we take when we work in this business, where HE screwed up is letting minors work in his establishment...everybody knows that you don't do that. It's a HUGE risk, and it's not worth it...ever. The girl was 15???? Holy crap that's bad. Now he's gonna have to register as a sex offender in the state of Texas, and it will come out on his record anytime they do a back round check. Vice has been trying to nail Michael's for a long time, but we always covered our a$$. By not hiring minors, and being strict with rules on the floor. If the minors wouldn't of been there it would have been a routine roundup of dancers and the manager. But they hit the jackpot, and now...well let's just say they won't be around for long. Which is good for me cause that's what I wanted.
He has posted that he prostitutes women although he hasn't posted that he prostitutes minors. I assume that both are a crime with the minor part being a much worse crime. I assume raids should worry anyone who is involved in prostitution.
No it doesn't worry me one bit, but now you guys know what I mean...when I say I'm not worried about getting raided. As long as I follow the guidelines I'm good. That's the number one rule...NO MINORS. He broke it and Michael's is directly responsible for letting him do it...or being stupid enough not to catch it. They suspended him without pay...until he resolves this case. Which he isn't going to, because nobody has ever gotten away with it. So he can kiss his Michael's job where he used to average between $75,000 to $125,000 take home a year. He's never gonna get to that kind of status in a club, because it took him almost 5 years to get there...and he got that job by default. He didn't earn it, someone got fired and he moved up. I actually got offered his job but I turned it down cause at the time he was a good friend. I wanted to earn my way up...and keep peace at the club and not screw anyone over because I was new. So when I get to the position to earn that job title...he screws me over and I get fired. Life's a b!t@ huh??? Oh well, I don't care. Cause now I'm gonna be running my own club and well let's face it...@#$@# MICHAEL'S. :grin:
So, what exactly are your liabilities then? I mean, can't vice come knocking on your door, and even though your dancers are allegedly of age, ostensibly bust your club for simple prostitution? Moreover, I'm asking how the stings/raids are conceived, conducted and if you have had anything like that go down at your place.
Bwhahaha. You guys worry too much. If it was just a regular bust he would've bailed out and the club would've paid for his lawyer to get it off his record, cause all strip club owners know what goes on in there. But this is different...Michael's is gonna try to win their case by distancing themselves from him and arguing that he did this without their knowledge for personal gain off of the girls. But then the court will point out that 6 other managers were there and why didn't they catch it? Why didn't they follow procedure and have more than one manager approve the hiring of the minors? Michael's will never recover from this...they're done.
Raids are never done without careful planning over a 1-3 month period. They send undercover VICE detectives in there to spy on the club. Once they've compiled enough evidence they'll pick the day you expect them least at the worse hour possible and turn all the lights on and not let anyone in or out, they cover all exits. Then they line up all the dancers and arrest the ones that they have evidence of prostitution on from other days, they ask everyone for i.d's to see who is underage or illegal. They check to see if everyone has latex, if they don't they go to jail, also they check everyone's bikini bottoms and if it's not in accordance with the law you go to jail. And the manager on duty is also taken if there are any arrests....since he is the direct supervisor. But if you have all of your things in order and you stay on top of your **** then you really don't have anything to worry about. It's when you start getting too big headed that they catch you...it always happens that way.
