Nice to see the details. It's worth it. I respect Strickland he tried hard and he still has some passing skills but he is too old.

I actually feel sorry for Strickland. I think his game was rounding into shape.

    This is actually curious.

Sura is taking Gaines' slot on the IR. We could leave Strickland on the active roster.

With the acquisition of James, we now have 14 players on on the roster, and only 11 on the active roster.

Maybe Ward is getting ready to return from the IR. He is not great but still better than Strickland.

Thank the Lord God above for this move. Strickland single handedly got us beat last night. I've never seen worse defense in my life. EVER.

Aren't we acquiring Zendon Hamilton also (even though we waive him immediately)?

I don't know the rules, but would that not mean that we would need (even if only for a logical second) a roster spot for Hamilton to make the deal work?

Because we're taking James and Hamilton in the trade for Gaines, we had to open a roster spot for the trade to go through. We're immediately waiving Hamilton, which would allow us to resign Strickland if we felt like it.

But if we're lucky, someone else will come in and take the 15th spot.

I think Zendon Hamilton is going to occupy Gaines's 12th spot on the bench next to Clutch the Bear.

It was painfull and sort of funny (in a sad way) listening to Bill Worrell last night after Parker stole that ball from Strickland in his last play:

"Coach, he just can't play -- he's limping down the court. He's got nothing left!"

    Or something like that.

I don't think so. I'm fairly sure the team only has to be at the roster limit at the end of the day. Meaning we can release Hamilton.

However, I haven't seen anything official saying we've released Hamilton (just Chronicle report). The Rockets release doesn't say we've waived Hamilton. If we plan on keeping him, then we did need to move Strickland.

    Curious it's him, not Barrett.
