Normally, I know enough about computers to hold my own.. but this problem has me COMPLETELY befuddled.

I noticed it when I was trying to listen to any of the streaming radio stations, whether it be KTRH, 790, etc., and they all use that eonstream player applet.

Anyways, the window opens... the player is shown... but it never starts playing. Clicking the play button gets nothing. And then, if you try to close the window, it doesn't respond... and XP gives the "end program" thing which basically shuts down internet explorer.

I thought it was a problem with IE, so I re-installed XP sp2. Then, I thought it was a problem with media player, so I upgraded to WMP10, then downgraded back to 9 ... neither player worked still. THEN... I tried a new browser... Mozilla... and the exact same thing happens there (so, I know its not a browser problem).

Its especially frustrating since this is on my new laptop, and my old desktop (w/ all the same antivirus, antispyware software running) streams the audio fine.

Any suggestions would be well appreciated... sorry that this ended up being so long.
