    Amare deserves it.

I'll take the championship next year with Yao, no problem!:)

Based on what I've read, it seems like ROY could have gone either way.

I haven't seen Amare play much but from what I've seen of Yao, Yao just did not impress me enough to be ROY. Yao always seemed not to be in the flow of the offense ( which is probably not entirely his fault ) and I think that his defense rebounding needs to improve.

How close was the Francis and Brand race v. this year's Yao and Amare?

Just for comparison's sake, wouldn't you think this year's should have been shared rather than the Brand/Francis.

    Interesting to know your take.

Yeah its Rudy T's fault ................

If Rudy had dunked the ball more, instead of trying for 1 foot fingerolls and layups and had he actually GRABBED more rebounds instead of playing patty cake with them, then he would have had the award. Damn you Rudy.

    My two pennies.

I have always held high regards to codell because of his hardwork at Chat rooms. However, I am rather surprised to see you respond to personal attacks on BBS.

Long time ago somebody says on the Internet, no matter what you say, somebody will always object to it. I know this to be so true from my very own experience.

There are two sides to every story. Regarding ROY, Yao is never so excited about it, he is more concerned about Rockets making the play-off and ultimately another ring to Houston. The culture he grows up in does not empathize so much individual glory. Had anybody been following about Yao, he'll notice Yao is more graceful about other NBA players, he's been called many names but he shut up those people "with actions"( To name a few: Shaq, Barkley.... ) If Yao does not care so much, heck, who are we to jump up & down. Winning an award does not make Amare a better player. If he's been crying for it, he can have it. Rockets fans know who is a better player ROY or not.

Please refrain from attacking Rudy T, he is not the perfect coach but this guy gave his heart & soul to Rockets.

Some Rockets fans probably feel bitter about losing ROY, but think how much Suns fans hurt when Yao & Steve made All-Star start-up.

Even more painful when they think Suns have been sniffing for a ring for the last 16 years. I have not checked the history but I think the closest they ever got was a (heart-breaking) final??

There are too many IFs in the race for ROY, we can go on arguing about it for days & nights, whatever has happened is gone, live with it.

Or better still, be graceful and congratulate Amare.

    But be NOT like Amare.
