    Hey guys,

I just aquired several autographed jerseys (football). I'm quite eager to display them in my new room in a sports bar type way, if you understand what I mean. Do you guys have any experience in this, or know what the best way to go about this would be? Would it be best to go to a specialist shop?

If I were you take them to field of dreams and get them professionally framed.

How much did framing cost you?

Professional framing can cost anywhere from $200-$750. Depends on the type of frame you want to use.

If the jerseys are really awesome and actually worth something I would suggest gettting it framed from a professiona.

I had My Dan Marino signed Jersey framed and it cost $425.00. I had a few special things added such as a name plate, Aqua and Orange border and a special type of film on the glass to keep UV rays out. I also keep my footballs and helmets under case which I bought from field of dreams, $100 for the helmet size and $65 for the football size.

You can buy jersey frames off of ebay for $60. Be sure it's a football size since they are bigger.

I would also point out that whomever frames it, should not do anything to the jersey itself.

I have heard of people taking memorabilia into framing places only to find out later that when they were framed, the memorabilia was pasted or fused to white board or something like that.

The jersey should be "loose" in the frame...no glue or anything touching it.

Also, when you display them, DO NOT let direct sunlight hit them during the day, and make sure to keep the room as dark as possible when not in use...light fades ink. Signatures fade easily.

I have personally never gotten a jersey framed, however what you guys are paying seems kinda high. I have no clue, however.
