This dude is the greatest 2nd round pickup rockets have in the last 20 years.

He had to change his game from sg to starting pg his rookie season on a team with a cancer like Pippen, he did it without complaint.

He then have to change his game from starting pg to complimentary sg of the bench his 2nd season, once again no complaint, did his job.

The he has to change from the guy off the bench to the #2 scoring option in his third season, no complaint did his job, played great and signed a below market value contract. That in itself he's not selfish but we'll move on.

Fourths season he has to be the man #1 option cuz of Francis injuries, responded pretty well I must say, especially since he was PLAYING HURT. Season five, people every where were bashing his play for being selfish, he changes his game again, he's making an effort to be the third option, 9 shots last game, 8 shots this game, he's not selfish, its' hard to have to redifine your role every season.

He's making an effort to pass more, he has 3 assists tonight, stop bashing him, he's one of the most stand up players I've ever seen and just give him the time he needs to adjust again.

I dont know of many 2nd rounders who would complain about a role on a team that includes Pippen, Olajuwon, and Sir Charles. They could have told him to play power forward and he wouldnt have complained.

That being said, any bashing of Rockets players should stop. Except against Moochie. :D

He Stunk the house up tonight. I like Mobley... he plays hard everynight he's on the court. He just stunk tonight, and if you want to say that I'm bashing him... well youre wrong. I'm telling you the truth. He's a better player than how he played tonight.

Cat is a very good player.

However, watch him. He cannot play 5 minutes without shooting.

He forces the action too much and he's very impatient.

Aries, no criticism of a performance isn't bashing, saying that a player is constantly a problem of a team and we should trade him is what i meant by bashing cat, which a lot of posters are doing.

I watched the game, there were a couple plays where he forced but he is starting to play A LOT more reserved and I have to say he's making an effort to change his game and he should be given sometime b4 the bashing, pretty soon, we might get the outside specialist, spark plug, Sam Cassell type of player we saw of him in his rookie campaign when we actually had the 3 headed monster......hopefully

Uh, first of all, it's spelled ASSISTS. Second, he had 3 assists and 6 rebounds. So, if Ming has a bad game, will that mean that you are gonna get on his case? How perfect are you in your daily life by the way? Sometimes you guys forget that these players are human beings who will make mistakes or have bad days, sheesh, let it go already. We got beat by hands down, the best team in the league. It's not like the Clippers beat us.

zero for eight? Off-night you say.

    OK.

I didn't watch the game. But who was supposed to be guarding Michael Finley?

    Mobley?

Finley scored 28 points. Maybe someone else like Hawkins should have been assigned to guard Finley.

Again, I didn't watch the game, so I don't know how Finley got his points, or if they were hard-earned. Correct me.

Maybe we'll stop the bashing if Mobley makes it up in the next game.

If you watched the game, then you would know that Rice and Hawkins did check Finley and probably played him more than Mobley did. Finley hit 6 three pointers by the way, you can't really guard against a guy who was catching and shooting like that.

His basketball IQ is under scrutiny. It is not that he didn't play hard. But just he doesn't know how to play team basketball.

Mobes and Taylor both stunk it up tonight...if you notice 3/16 will not be the Mavs...this is really where we lost the game. We have to hit our shots. They are a precision team and do not make very many mistakes. Notice our rotations off of Finley and Dirk the entire night letting them knock down wide open jumpers.....Bewilders me how these guys could get that wide open. I will give them the ability to score with men in their face, but leaving Dirk or finley should not happen..leave griffin, leave bradley....

One bad game, and he only took 8 shots so I guess he's wasn't forcing the action too much. There hasn't been too much Mobley bashing as of late. Its been more like constructive criticism which is cool and something the Cat deserves after going 0-8, as a big Cat fan, I can more than accept that.

PS: He did drop like 12 pts in the 4th against the Cavs to help us WIN that game.

    wizkid83,

I agree with you...I've never heard him complain once over the years, I think slowly he'll adjust and play teamball...and it takes time....he just need to realize what his new role is...which is play great D on the 2 guards and play within the game flow (In other words, DO NOT JACK UP CRAZY SHOTS)...just let the scoring come to you if you are a great scorer...don't create something that isn't there, he's not that good to do that on a consistent basis...

I trully believe that the Rox are better with mobes then without, he is still gonna adjust but it's gonna take time. I think if he plays like he did when we had Shanon Anderson along with Chuck and Hakeem, we could be fine.
