wait on MTSN...you'll see. it did exactly what it needed to do today. all i was asking from it was a close above 15 and it closed above 15. LOOK may have been a premature call on my part. It needs more up volume before it is a safer call. So if you have not bought it then that's a good thing. I'd wait longer on it.

DD is WHOG traded in America? It doesn't come up as a symbol for me.

CNXT - Not too confident in this one. It isn't acting like a stock that should be going up. I may be wrong since I haven't been following it, but from first glance I am weary of it.

CIEN - Looks positive for the long run, but it has been on a good price run without suffient volume to support it. Could experience a retrace or a pause in its upswing quickly without more volume. Will be interesting to watch.

ABC - Not really much point in holding this one. It won't do much for your portfolio. It will probably continue its long slow run up, but conservative won't help you out much. Instead of ABC I'd recommend NTE which is at a good buy point right now. So buy NTE and sell ABC.

FTUS - I wouldn't sell it at 2.50 a share because there is much more of a run left in that stock. But if you wanted to do something to protect your gains you can put a STOP-LOSS point in your order. Meaning that the stock will be sold once it drops back to that price which protects you from further declines. However, stop-loss points generally aren't a good way to operate unless you really feel that the stock is going to breakdown and you know you won't be anywhere near a computer to place a sell order when it happens. One more note...if FTUS gets past 2.84 and is able to hold then get ready to watch it run up big.

watch NWD on the rebound now...it has the confirmation I should have waited for in the 1st place. past .72 = winner

watch CVM if it holds past 1.40

watch PDEX....just broke a trendline on strong volume and looks good on all charts. it's a new one to me so it's my risky pick, but very profitable.

    I appreciate all the help.

I was trying to formulate a strategy this morning for the game and I came up with an idea:

If I want to make huge gains, I need to go big on one or two stocks and invest as much money as possible. I have a million dollars in buying power (can borrow 500k) but the problem with all these stocks is that the volume is simply too low as are the prices to make any substancial gains that way. Are there any high priced stocks that you would bank on?

I am going to try pure random luck and see what happens. I'm going to invest $10,000 on RWT ( RedWood Trust) and you guys tell me what I would have returned on my investment in one week. I bought in at 54.66. No whammies!

a very good pick by my standards...just broke thru a long trendline and could keep this run up. not completely sure on it because it has already ran up a ton really fast and might need more time to consolidate in price. overall i like it.

So would you advise buying as much stock of NTE at market open tomorrow @ 32.98? then how long should I wait?

i guess there was some confusion....i said NWD after .72 was a winner and CVM after 1.40 was a winner. i meant for you to wait till they reached those prices and held past those points and then buy them. like CVM opened high today and wasn't able to hold it for very long meaning there were still sellers at that price. sorry if i confused you with how i put things. either way it just means you're gonna have to wait longer before they jump up. i still like everything as is for now.

NTE...buy what you can and then wait on it and hold it...it is a very volatile stock, but it has been one of the biggest winners in the past 18 months. buy it and hold on to it.

looks like i may be wrong about MTSN but wait on selling it. there will be a 2nd chance to get out at a better price. so don't freak out on it. just wait. there was no news and the only news lately has been good.

ok well i was right on MTSN and that drop showed it more than anything with how it bought back up. NTE i was dead right on too...i hope you got in it the day i said to buy. CVM looks like one we need to cut loose. i wish i could have told you that midday after it broke past its support so we could have minimized the losses. sorry for the miscommunication that made you think it was the time to buy it. i think we will be ok with NWD even though i wasn't clear about it, but CVM does not look good at all. it could come back up to sell at a better price and it could tank a lot more...so it's best to take the hit and get rid of it. it reacted negatively to seemingly good news as well..another bad sign.

DCUT looks excellent...NWD looks solid...MTSN looks great...

sell CVM....buy DIO. There is enough volume in DIO for you to get enough shares. DIO is cheap but has a good balance sheet and it is growing and it has ungone a lot of buying lately.

I made an absolute freaking killing today.

    29 11/12/2003 11:06:00 AM 11/12/2003 11:11:00 AM Buy NTE 18300 Market 35.15 29.95
    30 11/12/2003 12:02:00 PM 11/12/2003 12:08:00 PM Buy TXN 4671 Market 30.19 29.95

NTE performed great today... and you say I should hold onto it?

Symbol Quantity Curr Price Curr Value Gain/Loss % Chg % Equity
    sell? MTSN 5333 15.89 84,741.37 4,396.44 5.51% 16.00%
    sell? NTE 18300 36.42 666,486.00 23,211.05 3.61% 125.80%
    sell? TXN 4671 30.7 143,399.70 2,352.26 1.69% 27.07%

Basically I got in on NTE at 35.15, which at the time wasnt that great in my mind.... but it just kept getting better... I made about 23 thousand off the trade yesterday.

My next two orders to trade when market opens:
31 11/13/2003 1:28:00 AM Day Order Sell TXN 4671 Market Open status
32 11/13/2003 1:32:00 AM Day Order Buy DIO 235580* Market Open status

that kind of hurts that you got NTE at that price...i was hoping you'd be able to get it around 32. i was watching it and if i would have had any availible money i would have bought NTE for myself because i called the bottom on it that morning around 31.2.

DIO you have to get at .35 and below or else I don't see it as worthwhile. it trades in a range between .33 and .35 so it shouldn't be hard to acquire that.

TXN looks good...looks like it is pausing before going higher...the same thing NTE is doing. however with NTE you can make a killing off its price swings. i am not able to call the tops on that stock very well because when people buy it they buy it at a frenzied pace. anyhow...i wouldnt be surprised to see NTE drop off a couple dollars more before it starts back up again.

i'm kind of starting to think this may be too difficult for us to do. because when i see something i can execute it. and when you see my message the best time to make the trade has generally passed.
