"They went hard after several early first-round picks, and an NBA executive with knowledge of their trade talks said late Thursday that the Rockets are among several teams still trying to acquire Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio, one of several point guards selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves."

Geez, I can't believe nobody posted this already. This board is slipping. This news should have been posted early this morning, it should have multiple pages of discussion AND it should be right under the stickied threads at the top of the first page.

    Clutchfans fails.

Word of the wise: if the article is from a prominent Rockets' site, chances are it's been posted 2 minutes or less after that site posts it.

Rockets.com, espn.com, chron.com and others fall under this category

    The saga continues...

ESPN said Rubio will stay in Spain vs. play for MINN
    Rubio will be traded.

If we get him, tmac contract will most likely be part of the deal.
Who on MINN's roster would we want/have to take to make the contract work and what other pieces would we have to give up?

Landry, James White or something that hurts more?

I imagine at least 3 teams are negotiating right now, so what is it going to take to get the 'born' PG?

    Also,
Rubio doesn't want to play for just any team and he has a bit of leverage.
I wonder what other teams want him besides us?

    All their junk.

McGrady for draft rights to Rubio + Etan Thomas + Darius Songaila + Brian Cardinal

    Salaries work.

    Minny's roster would then be:

    Flynn, Telfair
    McGrady, Ellington
    Gomes, Brewer
    Love, Smith
    Jefferson, Pecherov

I know McGrady's contract is amazing after this year, but would they really do this?
