I heard that Denver is trying to get rid of Steven Hunter's contract and is even willing to throw in picks. How about Steve Francis and Luther Head for Hunter and a second? I think he is a better option than Mutombo to solve our backup C. Works in Realgm.

    Couldn't agree more.

You make it seem like we have traded for Steven Hunter!

Fooled me as well. I don't know Hunters contract, but I think it couldn't hurt from a basketball standpoint assuming Francis is done.

Its been mentioned before. He's hurt right now, but I think its a good idea. My thinking was Rafer for Hunter and Carter. Start brooks, carter is the vet backup. Then trade head for Booth to spell yao until hunter makes it back.

You know all is not well in Clutchland when there's calls for Calvin Booth.

According to Hoopshype.com, Hunter is owed just over 7 million over the next two seasons. If we can trade him for peanuts (Francis' expiring contract, etc.), I'd say we go for it.

V.3 - I don't think Booth will save the world, I just look at it as a veteran big man who can make a jumper, has some size, and will able to spot yao 14-17 mins a night. He makes vet minimum and he would be traded for a guy, luther, that has no place on this team.

IIRC, didn't Hunter and T-Mc play together in Orlando -- with Hunter being one of T-Mc's least favorite people because even T-Mc considered him lazy?

Yeah I was just about to bring that up. In the slam magazine when T-mac,KG,and Tim Duncan were talking about basketball. T-mac took a shot at Hunter.

Ely is the only solution we should even consider at backup C.

No, the only acceptible backup C should be Dwight Howard. Anything else is FAIL.

I like the idea for him/luther. He can give Yao at least 10 to 12 minutes per game. Plus rebound and play credible D. We need his height and rebounding. It's like I-10 at 4am when Yao leaves the game. It's like that when he's in the game. He has to have the lowest blocks per minute ratio of any current center including Okur. ouch.... I'm having fun today killing Yao.

Love u to death big fella.

Remember when he was with the Suns and missed the game winning dunk against the Rockets?

Maybe he is better value to us on another roster. :p
