I'm wondering who should get more PT? The veteran PG and former franchise player, or the quick new youngster we just drafted.
there was situation like this back in the day. it was Scotty Brooks vs Sam Cassell. The veteran Scotty who was great at finishing games and the rookie with potential. A little different now since we have 4 point guards.
I'll take stevie. Personally, i think it's a matter of whether steve wants to play or not rather than is he going to play.
Kenny was the starter and it was sealed in cement for 6 great seasons. The battle was for #2. Here we have a battle for #3 (unless Rafer really blows it as the starter)
Why isn't Brooks in the D-league yet. I vote Brooks if you count D-League time, but both equal playing time if it doesn't because Zero=Zero!
First the debate was Francis vs. Rafer or James for Starting/Backup PG. Then, it was Francis vs. Head for third-string minutes. And now it's Francis vs. the rookie? Man, you guys are too cruel.
If it's just garbage time, Brooks. If there's an injury to a backcourt player and we need someone to fill in, then Steve,
Neither please. Either one getting significant PT means more injury problems have hit the ROX. Hopefully Brooks can take the opportunity of practicing with and being around the team to develop (unlike V-SPAN, who used it to b****) and can be a rotation player in a year or two. Steve can go ahead and get traded or retire please.
Luther got PT. Francis and Brooks have not. anyone surprised? this happens every year. Stromile, DA, Kirk, Vspan, Boki ...
Didn't Brooks just about miss every single shot he put up in preseason? Sorry but it's the bench for AB's for the season. Rookie!
The question is oversimplifying, and you all are overthinking. If it is purely Steve or purely Brooks, SF3 is the easy proven choice and the guy you take out of the two, simply because of what he has done at the NBA level. Brooks will be the better choice eventually, but as of now is PROBABLY too inexperienced to run a team right now. Overthinking, because this is for 3rd chair PG, and because I am just sick of seeing SF3 waste away. He doesn't appear interested in trying to impress RA, not to mention getting in shape. I am probably naive to think that I know what Steve is thinking, but despite his all star years (namely with our franchise) he is fighting a late first round pick (albeit a very athletic, promising one) for third fiddle.
