    Houston 98, Dallas 86

Houston's victory over Dallas was the big story of Day 1 of the NBA playoffs. While Tracy McGrady's heroics were expected, Ryan Bowen's mere appearance was not. Bowen, despite averaging just 9.2 minutes a game this season, started for the Rockets and played 31 tough minutes of defense on Dirk Nowitzki. Van Gundy went small on Dirk, also using McGrady on him at times, and the strategy worked. Nowitzki was harassed on the perimeter and never got into rhythm offensively, shooting 5-for-19. He now has to make an adjustment, maybe taking the smaller Rockets inside in Game 2. Houston is 17-1 in its history when winning the first game of a playoff series. Things are looking good in Clutch City.

I dont think Steve Kerr has been all that anti Rocket till now. He said Mavericks in 7, which was on the rocket-end of other pundit predictions. And said the main thing holding them back from a deep playoff run was having to play the Mavericks in the first round.

hey, who knows he might even pick us over Phoenix, if we get that far.

The beauty is we know what adjustments they may want to make. We can counter the post with weakside help and we can counter the pick and roll by letting dampiere get open. Dampiere isn't good enough to take advantage of being open. As long as we know whats coming it won't matter.

    On Yahoo! Sports it says:
    Houston 98, Dallas 8

I feel like we did beat them by 96 points, don't you guys?

Yeah, that was the strangest sound I ever heard. I always wondered if Marv was performing a reach-around on Steve just as T-Mac hit the winning 3.

LOL! Yah that's true, it was painful for him to watch the Spurs implode like that.

Poor Steve, he should seek medical help for his Spurinitis, his plain bias to the Spurs is beyond obvious:rolleyes:

Come on. Surely Eddie Sefko's got better things to do with his time than post on ClutchFans.

Only if you're talking about how many games before the Mavs get to go on summer vacation.

I know this doesnt have much to do with this thread, but anyone else wonder why this is the FIRST time this year Kerr didnt get to do the Spurs game??? I think TNT knows he's such a homer, but it was still bad hearing him talk about the old Bulls crap...

    BTW.. I HATE STEVE KERR!!!
