I didn't want to jinx him. but he played a pretty good game last night and has been playing well. but philly plays no defense. he also played well against the Suns.

but the key to the magic is its shooters hitting their shots. Garrity and Hedo have been very good for them during the streak also. and the kid is starting to put up some noteworthy numbers. Howard's not getting the attention he deserves. earlier in the season I thought his lack of college hampered his development of post moves but I was wrong. that kid is money around the basket. and he's developing a jump hook with both hands. he reminds me of a young david robinson. doesn't have dream's footwork.

wow, unbelivable hatred. steve takes a bunch of shots, he's not a true point, he takes only 7 shots hands out 15 assists and you still find a way to hate.

Typically, a guy has to make a shot to get an assist, you're wack!

If Grant comes back he needs to come off the bench. also dooling coming back has helped them. even though jameer is probably a better player, the dooling steve backcourt seems to work a little better.

Stevie's worst enemy has always been himself...he's been playing lethargic and disinterested all season-long until that team suspension got his attention and now he's turning it around, so I am happy for him.

It's not the coach, it's him; he needs to find his identity on the court and know what's best for his team to win. The guy is uber-talented, it's not like he lacks talent, he just lacks the intangibles and the maturity that's needed to be able to whither the storm that's an NBA season; he still has to work on that part.

Like some people here, I keep up with Orlando solely because Stevie plays there, and I enjoyed their win over the 76ers in over time last night, I hope he continues to mature and improve, and I hope he finally understands that the team's success should always be your #1 priority, not your numbers or anything else.

Do you mean Stein was saying Minn thought trading for Ricky Davis would be better for them than trading for Francis? That can't be true. Who would pick Ricky Davis over Francis?

    They didn't like Steve's contract.

which is a stupid position because garnett only has a few years left. the next major move they make is gonna be their last chance to put a championship around him.

I'm kind of glad he stayed in Orlando so far, Howard is the future.

You think putting Francis next to Garnett will result in a championship? Or anything close to it?

the howard/okafor situation reminds me of the texan's situation a little although its hard to compare the two sports. they took the gamble on howard, but its gonna payoff big, already is. a lot of people said they weren't wise for not taking the safe bet.

Does anybody have access to Insider? I'm curious which teams are trying to trade for him, the little tease says there are at least 6 teams looking to acquire him.

Which is why they really can't take a huge risk with Steve, don't get me wrong, Francis will be a huge help, but probably just enough to lose in the 2nd round every year, not championship. With Davis he probably won't help them make the playoffs, but his contract is easy to trade, if he turns out to be a mistake they can trade him to the Rockets, I hope.

I have a bad feeling that they'll trade him before Howard is ready to really carry a team to a championship level, maybe as early as this summer.

Jameer Nelson has fit that team like a glove. His bruised foot injury will give Orlando plenty time to shop Steve around before trade deadline.

At 28, Steve's got to adapt or come contract year he'll be too lost to have fun. He's been doing okay after the suspension though, but it's not his usual stuff...like he's been playing under lockdown or something.

but what player of steve's caliber is out there for them to get. they're not gonna get anyone who's definitely better unless a team decides to go in another direction, like Seattle and Ray Allen. they're not gonna get, AI, Wade, Redd, arenas, pierce, nash, etc. Steve is really the only viable option I see for Minny in the near future.

Stevie had his 7th career triple double in the loss to the 76ers. 22 pts 10 rbds, 10 assts (only 3 TO's). The loss snapped a 7 game home winning streak for them. I didn't see the game but I read that Dalembert shut down Howard in the 4th Qtr.
