Honest quote from Stevie on 610.

"It's my fault...mine and the guys on this team."

Maybe Steve is smarter than I've been giving him credit for. In the Rudy vs. Players debate, this quote is irrefutable evidence that the players are at fault. Like I've been saying, Rudy has won not 1, but 2 championships, thereby proving his merit. Steve Francis has not won a championship on any level. Cuttino Mobley has not won a championship on any level. Moochie Norris has not won a championship on any level. No coach can wave a magic wand and make these players smarter. Steve said it himself -- the players are at fault.

Give me a break. This should be absolutely nothing to anybody. You know why? Because next game, he'll just be doing the same ol', same ol'........selfish, immature crap (btw, this is basketball steve, not soccer). This is fake maturity. Until his actions reflect that he's truly taken responsibility, these words mean nothing.

lol... at first i thought he was stepping up and taking all the blame. but nope, he then spreads the blame around to the other players as well.

You try in other threads to prove you aren't a Yao only fan, but alas, your true colors start to show.

Francis has never won...or gone to the playoffs.
Mobley has never been a winner. He's always been with Steve.
    Posey was on Denver.
Griffin has been with us all the time.
Yao used to be a winner in China...but now he's lost it I guess. Around too many losers.
    Moochie has never succeeded anywhere.
    Maddox was kicked out...
    Hawkins was a Harlem Globetrotter.
Glen Rice is the only winner...too old to do anything.
Terence Morris has won at Maryland..but can't do anything here. He doesn't talk.
    Mo has never won.
Cato has been on the Trailblazers...but he never played.
    And Collier is never involved.

    We have losers.

We need a coach who can make them.....WINNERS!

Atleast someone admitted of who's fault it is. I am not saying it's steve's but as team leader he admitted it's his and his team fault. If you ask MO he would probably tell you that we couldn't put the ball in the hole. What the F is that ? this is not Golf. Just take care of business like Rice says's.

ill second that-the rockets and steve in particular are very good at talking the talk when it comes to "turning the corner" and "learning to trust each other" but when it comes time they do what they always do. they will have flashes of brilliance in a game and talk about how "that is how we need to play" and all this jive and than go out the next night and play street ball again. this is why were will not be in the playoffs.

Steve only said that because of the little voice coming from the area of the bench:

" Hey! ........Hey! .................Hey! ..........don't blame me as the team's problem.......hey! ........hey! ......... I'll give Moochie more minutes next game, so help me I will! .......Hey!........Hey!......... You got that?

Please elaborate. His fault for what? What was he responding to when he said this? Does he mean not making the playoffs, losing so poorly to the Blazers and Jazz, total collapse after beating the Lakers....what?

Nothing more to elaborate on. That was pretty much the only snippet they played. It was not a full interview. The quote was introduced with Matt Jackson talking about the coaching, so it is reasonable to assume the question was along those lines.

Francis should never be absolved of blame until he realizes the importance of trying on defense. I don't like Mobley, but I respect the fact that he plays his ass off on defense. Francis could care less about stopping his man, becaues there is no stat for it. Francis is a loser through and through. He brings ZERO leadership or other intangibles to the table. No way in hell is a guy you build a franchise around.

this is a very, very, very small baby step for steve francis towards being a team leader. taking some of the blame is necessary, but having the balls to point out players is just as important. after this season's disaster it's essential! he has to let people know who's doing what wrong whether it's in the locker room or in the public. basically, he needs to be the coach since our regular coaching staff is a joke. he needs to "get in their asses".

sorry for that last line, clutch crew. i've just been kind of po'ed with the lack of pointing fingers when it's needed.
