I am getting sick of people saying he sucks just becasue he only get 5.8 dishes a gam. Please, he is scoring over 30ppg and over 10rpg. Steve Francis is unstopable, and if he continues to play like this and we make the playoffs he should be MVP. Francis is awesome, and it is not his falt that he is not getting more ast. It is are team, they are terrible scorers. There is not a better player in the league right now other than T-Mac.

I agree that if he puts up these numbers and we win the 1st round in the playoffs he should be considered.

But if he averages these numbers and we still don't make the playoffs, it only makes him a good player on a bad team. Look where that got Dominique Wilkens - 51st on the top 50 list.

I would rather have stevie average 12-6-6 and win then 25-10-6 and lose.

I just saying that he is awesome, and it is not his falt that are offense struggles at times. When he passes to someone and that can't make any shot then it is pretty hard to get an ast. I think he could pay SG though, A.I. does it and he is smaller than Francis. Just think we could have drafted Jay Williams, and moved Francis to SG when Williams was on the court.

the only problem with that is that williams is more of a scorer too.

i think if steve can get his asts #'s up (maybe around 7) and his TO's down, he could be recognized as an MVP candidate.

    Steve IS awesome!!!;)
OK, maybe he doesn't have the right number of assists yet. But, how many times has he driven to the basket and dished to a wide open team mate and they missed the shot?!?!?
Steve has been robbed of several tripple-doubles because of this and he STILL puts up a great number of assists!!
There should be an NBA stat kept on assists ATTEMPTED and then you'd understand HOW AWESOME he is!!!

I don't think there are many MVP candidates that play for mediocre .500 teams...We seem to be on a crash course to medocrity right now...

I would take the wins too, but the problem is that if Steve puts up 12 points a game, the team would put up 70 points, amounting to a loss.

If Steve averages 12-6-6, we will lose. 25-10-6, that gets us to the playoffs.

Not if everyone else on the team is standing around watching Steve play... which tends to happen when your entire front court n-e-v-e-r touchs the ball

The guards took 50 out of 80 shots last night, and while Steve was trying to be MVP on offense, GP ran a clinic and scored/dished at will

The Rockets are way too talented a team for this to be the Steve Francis show...

Yes, Steve is awesome... but we won't even sniff the playoffs if Steve doesn't learn to trust his teamates

Steve has been playing incredible. He is the best PG in the game. 30 points, 10 boards, 6 dimes per game. HELL YEAH!

what is wrong with yall fools hatin' on steve!!!

i cannot count how manytimes stevie made the dish and kenny missed the shot, or how rice threw up a brick, or how cato bungled the pass in traffic????
its about time eddieG finally came to play. this is ridiculous. all you steve bashers need to get a clue, he is doing what NEEDS to be done, but its allllll stevies fault his teamates cant finish a play.

also, perhaps a newsflash, maybe rudy is asking stevie to do it all.....JUST LIKE HE HAS FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS!!!!!

damn, we ran into a team that was unconscious from 3 pnt land, damn!
    it happens!!!
    i hate you all

If only mooch has consistancy in passing, hell, I would give Mooch 30 to 35 playing time minutes, just to dish the ball to any open man especially Francis. but then again, that was'nt the case.
