hey guys, where in houston can i find a place where they do those challenges where you try to eat a really big steak? any help would be great. me and a friend are trying to settle an argument. thanks alot richard
The only place I know of that does it like a "challenge" is the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo. They have the 72 ounce steak challenge....eat the whole thing with salad & potato in an hour and you get it free. Big Texan Steak Ranch I actually ate there when I was a kid. It was damn good. Here in Houston you would have to go purchase a steak that size and cook it yourself. I can't think of a restaurant in Houston that serves a four and a half pound steak.
My dad and I ate there on the way to Dallas, moving from Albuquerque...Had a chicken fried steak and it rocked...We saw some guy working on it...The steak was huge, and of course, it had fat, so he had to eat that, a potato, salad, a roll and tea...If you didn't finish it, I think it was like $60...I know of no other place that does that...
