I was reading an article somewhere recently and the article gave steves points rebounds, and assists per game. they then gave Cats points per game only. I know he averages 4.5 boards, and 2.2 assists. My question is, When do you get recognition for a statistic. scoring of every player is almost always noted. but how many assists, steals blocks or rebounds do you have to get in order to be recognised for your efforts. Im not saying that I think Cat ashould have those numbers added behind his name, but I bet 4.5 rebounds is a pretty good average for a guard. My guess is anything above 5 boards or assists is noted, but I was wondering everyone elses opinion ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball http://www.hanta-force.com
There are no guidelines and different writers/editors will write/print different stats. Sometimes a graphic on Francis will show scoring, assists and turnovers, others may show rebounds. One may show points, rebounds and blocks for Hakeem while another may show points and shooting pct. It varies. ------------------
well I know that, but i was wondering what is the accepted number you would want to see. I mean i would laugh at sportscenter if the tell you a guy is averaging 14 pts and 2.5 boards. its like almost an insult. but would 4.5 boards be an insult, or would you still purposely not mention these stats. I think 17.5 pts, 4.5 boards looks pretty good. im not sure if i would want to read about 2.2 assists, or 1.1 steals. i dunno, i was just thinking about it for some reason. never mind me ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball http://www.hanta-force.com
