As the starting lineup?! 2 rookies starting? Last time that happened Mobley and Dickerson drove us into the ground.

    I like this lineup better:

    Yao Ming
    Carl Landry
    Shane Battier
    Tracy McGrady
    Vasilis Spanoulis

    Offense, defense and rebounding.

    What we will get is:

    Yao Ming
    Chuck Hayes
    Shane Battier
    Tracy McGrady
    Rafer Alston

No different from last year. No different result in the playoffs.

what were we giving up in that rumored Artest trade? VSpan, Sura, and Snyder? was that it?

Ike Diogu was just for Head, straight-up, right?

i don't know about trading away Battier, but we'd likely have to part with him + Rafer in a S&T for either Rashard or Chauncey. i don't want to trade Battier, but if we get Artest, it may be more efficient to have Artest + Chauncey rather than Artest + Battier.

what's the suggested trade that we've been throwing around for Tony Battie? he's making $5.2M, and they already have PGs named Jameer Nelson, Carlos Arroyo, and Travis Diener.

if we make the first three trades:

    C - Yao / Deke
    PF - Diogu / Chucky / Landry
    SF - Artest / Mac
    SG - Mac / Bonzi
    PG - Billups / James / Brooks

short bench, yeah, but not even SA is stopping that team.

    We made the playoffs.

The last time we had 2 rookies starting was in 99 with Steve Francis and Kenny "Get this Dog off my Face" Thomas.

My memories are that Molbley and Dickerson were great rookies and the Rockets Record holders for 3pts made in a single game (Rookies) :p

I think it is way too early to even speculate. I do think Brooks will be a bench PG for a couple of years. I think Mike James or Rafer will be our starting PG. I see Hayes, or the PF we trade for starting at PF.

What I think is a beter question is what is our bench going to look like?

5 -Deke and maybe Jake T
    4 -Landry, Hayes,
    3 -Novak, Bonzi,
    2 -Snyder, Head, James
    1 -James, Rafer, Brooks, V-span

Look at the posibilities of how our team can change into different styles of play.

lol landry and brooks won't even crack the rotation, let alone the starting lineup.

besides, we have a whole summer of roster moves to get through. who knows who will be on the team in october.

If you guys are wantin Diogu in a trade, I can tell you right now that Landry is better than Diogu. They play an almost identical game except that Diogu may have a little more strength...but Landry has range out to 20 ft and can handle the ball.

    I say:
    Yao Ming
    Carl Landry
    Shane Battier
    TMac
    Mike James

James can really shoot it...better than Rafer I think. Plus, he's gettin a little old so we might as well use him now before it's too late.

starting doesn't mean they will play more than 30 min
they can start and only play 12 min
