    Next years Statrters

    Mcgrady and Yao.
    3 new starters

    key 4 man bench players
    Mike James
    Dikembe Mutombo
    Juwon Howard
    new bench player

    10-12 man
    Jon Barry
    Bob Sura
    Scott Padget

    Get rid off

Wesly ( Undersize and expiring contract. Good trade bate. Extremely streaky shooter)
Weatherspoon, Charlie Ward, Moochie Norris, Ryan Bowen, Vin Baker. These five players are not good enough to play in a champioship contender team

    Some players to come

    1. J. Kidd ( he has a big contract. He will be great for the next 2-3 years. After that he dosen't have to be great becuase Mcgrady and Yao will be light years better).
    2. Stromile Swift ( We need someone to protect Yao from picking up foul trouble. Memphis might want to trade him for expiring contracts).
    3. A young shooting gutard/ small forward combo guard. There are dime a dozen guys like that out there. Must pick one with the MLE.
    4. A deadly shooter for the bench. Someone who can come and space the floor with his long range jumpers.

Agree with the concept that the rockets need 3 new starters, and another athlectic swingman off the bench. It will be difficult tough to fill all needs in one offseason. But a Sura/Wesley starting backcourt isn't gonna cut it.

    1. No way we can or should go after Kidd. He will put the Rockets in salary cap hell and I feel he is starting to break down.
    2. It would be great if we could get him but i just feel he is going to try to get a big contract and someone will give him one.
    3. If we could get Simmons or Mobley they would fit in nicely here.
    4. Re-sign Barry because he fits this spot perfectly or move Wesley to the bench (only if we get Mobley, Simmons, or someone else).

I feel the Rockets should try to get a good young PF through the draft and then try to get an athletic 2/3 with the MLE. At the trade deadline we can use the expiring contracts to get another PF or fill any other hole we have. To me this represents the most realistic route to take this off-season.
