Haha, by adding the [stalking] tag made it even more hilarious. I don't think I ever seen that one. Usually its [Sighting] or something but stalking is a better fit.
According to tom.com (http://sports.tom.com/2007-01-09/0424/00097637.html), Yao went to Chicago to see a doctor. But nothing significant happened. He will return on 10th.
The exact link is the following. http://sports.tom.com/2007-01-09/0424/00097637.html It was a very short news by Wang Meng which basically said nothing, but just that Yao Ming went to Chicago for a specialist to further check on the progress on his leg/knee injury. Nothing negative or positive about his injury. He will join his team to travel back to Houston after the match with the Bulls.
LOL ... between this and "couldn't get past Allen Leavell on defense with a motorcycle", you're on fire today. Good scoop, kpsta ... thanks for posting it.
Well, IMHO, I just posted what I thought. After all, Yao Ming did not go to Chicago to rave and support his team, as kpsta said. Si I really don't think I owed anybody an apology.
We should get pryuen on one of those shows like Make My Day so he can meet Yao Ming. Only a true fanatic would be mad about someone's girlfriend seeing Yao Ming on a commercial flight to Chicago.
give pryuen a break. kpsta's girlfriend could have just seen another 7'6'' Chinese dude on the plane and assumed that was Yao.
they just mentioned on nbatv that he he went to chicago on a commercial flight so I guess this just proves that kpsta's gf saw Yao. Not like there are other 7 ft chinese guys flying from houston the same day.
That's call respect. Look at it this way, a 26 years old young man visiting a UofC Professor for advise.
not the point, buddy. you said you seriously doubted kpsta's girlfriend's sighting of yao. and now we all find out its true. so maybe you should apologize for your emphatic disagreement, because we all know that yao was on a plane to chicago. oh,
Check your previous post again. You Seriously doubted who his gf really saw on the airplane and wondered why the Chinese reporters did not report that. I think you do owe kpsta an apology.
I knew the 2nd hand sighting would meet with some skepticism, but that's just the nature of this board. Perhaps I shouldn't have speculated about WHY he was on the plane... it made sense to me though... let's see: 1) The Rockets are playing in Chicago tonight 2) My girlfriend calls me at 6:30am to tell me that she sees Yao being wheeled onto her plane... Now I know, pryuen, there are at least two dozen 7-and-a-half foot Asian men rolling around Houston in wheelchairs these days... it's become quite a fad and it's pretty tough to tell which one is the real Yao. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped the wrong wheelchair-bound Yao to wish him good luck in his recovery. Sometimes I even try speaking Chinese to them because, well you know, I'm a little rusty... It's so embarrassing when that happens. When I put 1) and 2) together, it seemed logical to me that he'd be going to the game... although the Blues Brothers scenario does seem pretty compelling. Yao wants to buy your women! How much for the little girls? Thanks to gifford1967 and IC2000 for backing me up... For the record, I did bug her about either discreetly doing the camera phone stalking or maybe asking for his autograph, but that's where she drew the line. She's slightly less of a basketball fan than I am, but I still put up with her.
We believe ya. Why would someone make this up? Nor would anyone make up about Bonzi in an aisan spa on 290.
