The game is at 10:00 PM and looks like Marcus has updated the standings so now we are officialy at 2 wins and 3 losses.
If the game is at 10pm Greg can't make it, if it's at 7 he can. I see that it is 10, so Greg is out unless something changes between now and then.
so that leaves us with 5 guys again, IF rocketfire shows for once hope i make it through this one too...
What happened? well it was the usual. Close game and we got screwed again. This time it wasn't the refs but the score keeper himself thought to f u c k us up. The final score should have been 72-71 for us but because of that dumbass score keeper it was 71-70 loss. Great job YMCA for ****in us up for another game. Anyways it was a nice game. It looked like it was going to be a blow out but we kept coming back and almost took the game away. Nice job everyone.
freethrows kill us every game... i believe this is the 2nd game ive "lost" because of missing freethrows down the stretch. the weird thing is that, the trash talking or pressure dosnt get to me...but for some reason i cant hit freethrows. hits the back of the rim every time. but neways, funnest game ive played in a while...its a good feeling when we are missing some key players and we still hang with some of the better teams in the league...but damn we could use some length inside (no offense to adam).
Also, while going to my car after the game i saw the score keeper. I told him that we think that he missed 2 points for our team and he said nah i didn't miss anything. I was like we will see.
he's an arrogant SOB. i caught his mistake last time as soon as it happened (he actually gave the team 2 points when they didn't make a basket), called him out on it, and he kept blowing us off. this was during last year's playoff game too in which we won by only 2 i believe.
Yep, that's why we hesitated to say anything at the time of the incident. I mean, we know how he is and that he wasn't going to admit he was wrong and fix the score. We also knew they weren't going to stop the game so we could show them the video, because you know, that would make too much sense. Soooo, we waited until the end of the game to tell the ref and mention that we had it on tape and that it was at the very beginning of the game so it would be easy to spot. Of course, he had no answers for us, which is par for the course at that place. Basically said we were making playoffs anyway so it didn't really matter, which I totally agree on IF we do actually make the playoffs. With the way this league is run, I won't believe we're in the playoffs until we tip off and the clock starts running. If we do make the playoffs, the only thing the loss would effect would be our seeding, but there doesn't seem to be one clear TOP team so I don't think it really matters if we're up against a 1, 2, or 3 seed. Going to be the same experience no matter what, I would think.
