According to this picture, SS and TMac have the same height. TMac is listed 6'8'' with shoes. So he's 6'7'' without shoes. Therefore, SS is 6'7'' without shoes. He's listed 6'9'' by ESPN... Guess not... 6'7'' is pretty undersized for a power forward.
TMac has been measured at 6'8, which is why he was able to man up on Dirk last year. Stro is probably 6'9 with the shoes.
I'm not so sure. The picture is angled. Stro could be slouching. T-Mac could somehow be just a bit closer to the camera. A lot of things could make Stro look an inch or two shorter than he is in a picture. Haven't you seen Lord of the Rings?
But his athletic ability makes up for his lack of size. I think he'll be ok...at least I hope . I just look at our squad and cant help but to crack a HUGE smile. We are SOOOOO athletic it's almost ridiculous! Cant wait!!
Hopefully, Swift will wear shoe on the court -- you know, for that height advantage. People make way too big a deal about incremental differences in height. It won't make a bit of diiference if Swift is 2 inches shorter than his opponent if he can jump twice as high. And he can.
I was just mentioning this to a friend of mine. I said SS looks shorter than T-Mac from all the pictures I saw, had to check the stats and SS is listed as 6'9" and T-Mac is listed at 6'8", no wonder we got him for the MLE.
i think in modern terminology they say he's "long." also common is "wingspan." this is how they get around admitting their power forward is really only 6'7" or the center is only 6'9", etc.
Actually in the slam article a while back with t-mac, duncan and garnett, they were talking about each others height. T-mac is verified as being 6-10 and garnett is verified as being 7-1. T-mac is almost as tall as duncan in those pics! I believe stromile is 6-9. If you have that article take a look at it.
