Also try using the tool in IE to block the sites that come up the most. That simple task coupled with Google Toolbar keeps my popups to a minimum.

you should have a tab or option in favorites in mozilla to view your IE favorites. more knowledgaeable mozilla users should tackle this one TJ try this site - it has a list of start up programs and what they are... this is just one of MANY sites like this... if you are not sure what a program is, do a google search for it, you'd be surprised how much info you can find on those start up programs.
Yes And Firefox has helped me tremendously. No pop ups and less spy ware. becareful downloading things like kazaa ... they put that deep root spyware on your computer. When you get an ad that pops up, it should have something about removing it. Some of them are a pain in the ass and are misleading.
