Lakers are trash. Go home. I don't feel bad cheering for the Spurs either. They play great team basketball with a dominant middleman. So 94 Rockets-esque.

Duncan is much better than Shaq. After this year, Duncan will have won the same amount of titles with much less to work with. Shaq just bullies his way around the court.

    HOW SWEET WILL THIS BE?
Shaq, Kobe, Payton, AND b*stard Malone crying on the bench. I just wish they had gotten Pippen. All your birds with one stone right there.

im sick of hearing "blah blah lakers plagued with blah blah injuries, shaq not playing up to par, blah blah"

Why don't we hear, "Lakers stacked their team with Payton and Malone and STILL suck"

Spurs are such a mature team. It's scary to think about it.

living in la i saw a bit of the post game wrap up on abc which had norm nixon and michael cooper. There was on fan at the ESPNZone where they were broadcasting that was going nuts and everyone they ask say that the lakers are fine and will win the series easily, some even said in 5 games. I dont know who may win the series, I am not a prophet, but I want the spurs to win. But its ridiculous for these la fans to not realize that their team is in trouble and isnt playing well. As much as a optimistic Rocket fan I am, I am also realistic in knowing what their limits are and their shortcomings.

After seeing the way the lakers played against Houston I told all my laker friends before this series that the lakers would not have an easy time at all with the spurs because:
    1)they play better defense
    2) they dont make the stupid mistakes the rockets do
    3) they have a better bench
    4)Experience in the playoffs
    5) Reigning 2-time MVP
    6) Homecourt Advantage

All that spells big trouble for the lakers as everyone witnessed today. Even after the huge 3rd quarter the spurs kept their cool and came back to trounce the lakers in the 4th.

Not a big fan of Doc Rivers doing the broadcast for his obvious laker slant, but one thing he did say that I actually found somewhat insightful was that he believed that it was a big mistake for the lakers to fly back to La tonight which they are doing. He said that one of the best ways for a team to gel is on the road where they all live in the same hotel, same floor and all it becomes more a team house or so, but back in La everyone goes back to their own place and would only see the rest of the team at the practices

Gary Payton looks completely lost in the Lakers system. It is his LACK of production that is killing the Lakers. They are getting solid contributions from Shaq, Kobe and Malone (to a lesser extent). But Payton isnt producing. He isn't posting up Parker. Parker is killing him with speed and Payton isnt making him pay at the other end. This glove looks mighty old.

If like yesterday Duncan and Parker equal Shaq and Kobe's scoring numbers, the Spurs are going to win.

That Parker/Payton battle is the key.

Too many cooks spoil the broth.

And Shaq is fat and out of shape.....he is declining faster than the dow jones after 9-11.

I hated it when they said Kobe whistled after a bad first half. I was scared when they looked like they could do it. And then I loved it when they got clobbered in the 4th quarter.

It's looking a lot like Spurs in 5 from where I see it.

-Rockets D gave the Lakers fits, and the Spurs have better.
-Steve ran circles around Glove, and Parker is quicker and a better playmaker.
-Spurs play man defense on Shaq, taking away the open jumpers Malone had in round 1.
    -Unlike Yao, Duncan will score.

-Payton is upset that he isn't given constant isolation post-up opportunities.
-Shaq is upset that he isn't getting as many touches as Kobe.
-Payton is getting roasted on D.
-Malone is getting roasted on D.
-Shaq isn't trying hard on D.

Laker fans are about to eat it.

Game 2 tomorrow night. I'm saying Spurs win again, but I'm not too confident for some reason. I hope I'm right.

Spurs fans trashing Lakers with Outkast's 'Miss Jackson'. It's very funny.
