If the changes are due next week it would be a little late for an April Fools joke, dontcha think? I doubt Chance is going to give even his CCF.NET fans much of a hint.
They could anounce some bogus changes thursday and say they will happen next week...............damn, I need to stop looking so hard into things.-
I'm betting they are going to go harder on the "guy talk" and lessen the sports talk a little. It'll be more "did you see Janet Jackson last night? She was hot." More Texans Cheerleaders and other hot chicks in studio and that kind of stuff. That's my guess anyway.
I wish they would stream their broadcast online.... OR how about getting a stronger broadcast?! The signal is so weak.
What is really fresh is the whole "I am a man, You are woman" thing, that never gets old! "I'm a guy, I like football. You are a woman, you like to shop for shoes." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. That is sooooooooooo funny. I will laugh for ever. Keep it coming!!!
Kind of a Maxim magazine radio station. I hope they keep 610 strictly sports but it would be a good idea for another radio station.
For the life of me, I'll never understand the appeal of having hot chicks in the radio studio. WE CAN'T SEE THEM!
Two hints : Chance posted yesterday that he was going through a" tough time lately." This right after the Van On was a hit and things looked golden. In this morning's promo John and Lance said blah blah, and more upcoming "if we're still here".
I don't think so. They tried that format for a while about a year ago and the callers universally hated it. Charlie and Rich for several weeks tried to talk movies, etc. and callers were like, "Um, yeah, well, uh, I really wanted to talk about the Astros. That ok?" No one got it. This happens every couple of years. Stations get shaken up. I doubt Rich and Charlie will get canned. They are the most popular sports broadcast team in Houston and maybe the most popular ever. Lance & John, IMO, are still very good in the morning. The biggest concerns I'm sure are for guys like Matt Jackson and even Mark Vandermeer. He's been doing NCAA tourney play-by-play on ESPN, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was re-assigned to some other position. Rome screws everything up because of his slot. He starts late (11am - an hour past the end of drive time) and ends at 2pm leaving two hours of Dan Patrick before evening drive. One thing is for sure...Laura Morris, their station manager, is one VERY tough cookie. If she thinks heads need to roll, they will definitely roll!
Tells you something about guys. "Hey today we have the Hooters Girls on the radio". Let the collective drooling begin...
