I don't know if this topic has been on the board, but in class today, we had a discussion on media's role in sport and if sport could exist without the media. We also discussed if media could exist without sport. We had an interesting discussion and I was wondering if any of you have ever pondered about these things.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that sport has only been around for the last 100 years or so. I've never really thought about it but I guess that sports really might not be able to exist without media! Good thing for us we're alive in this wonderful time!
