Damn, White Sox might get the back to back. Unfair how out of all the teams, the White Sox get him.

If the White Sox get Soriano, no one will be able to stop them from repeating except themselves....or if they decide to throw the World Series again, 87 years later.

The White Sox are starting to resemble Jerry Reinsdorf's other team.

Imagine....Soriano leading off, followed by (in no particular order) Iguchi, Thome, Konerko, Dye & Pierzynski. Murderers Row revisited. Damn I wish it were the Astros! :(

The team had talent for the past two seasons....now they have a manager that has lit a fire under their collective butt.

Well after years of sucking, a team does tend to get a lot of high draft picks. Eventually some of those guys pan out. Add in a few quality veterans, like Kenny Rogers and I-Rod, mix in a coach with credibility and that seems like their formula for success this year.

I don't think this is a good move for the White Sox. They won last year because of their pitching. Their pitching is not as good this year as it was last year and Brandon McCarthy is a valuable piece in their bullpen who can also start on occasions. Power hitting does not win championships in this league. The Yankees of the last few years have proved that. The White Sox won it all last year not because they had one of the better hitting teams (I think nobody on that team hit over 300) but rather because they had the best pitching and they were good at manufacturing runs when it counted. That has not been the case with this year's team, which is why they are in second place and have been struggling since the all star break.

I love how the Sox keep adding pieces, while the Stros stand still.

Yeah. Too bad the Astros haven't made any moves this season.

Hmmm. Let's see, the Sox add Jim Thome and maybe Soriano, two of the top 20 hitters in the game. Stros? Wilson and Huff, both on the cheap.
