I really like the move for CP3, but I don't think adding Melo will be good. He's already run D'antoni out of NY before and is not a guy that's ever made his teammates better. It's fine to be a ball dominant scorer when you're one of the best at it but his best years are behind him, combine that with his terrible defense and the fact he'll jack up however many shots it takes to average 20+ and you have a guy that will probably hurt the team more than help. Better off not getting him.
Melo as the third option is going to be entirely different than Melo as the lead dog. Plus, he'll willingly follow a player the caliber of CP3. Doubt you see much, if any, ball hogging here.
