Boston has traded the rights to Darius Songalia to Sacramento for 2nd rounders this year and in 2005. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-kings-celticstrade&prov=ap&type=lgns Songalia supposedly has played really well in Europe (those stats in the article don't show it much, though) and had he not graduated from Wake last year, likely would've been a 1st rounder this season. Dunno why Boston didn't keep him, especially because two Sacramento 2nd rounders are nearly worthless.
I posted a thread last year hoping that the Rockets might sign him. He played great on that Luthuanian team that nearly whooped us in the World Games (?). He's an active, strong big man who can score in the paint. I saw a lot of him in the ACC.
saw him at shaw's summer league last year. he did really well for a second-rounder not expected to make the team. he could flash to the high-post and hit jumpers there, and would be an asset for the c's whenever they have a height disadvantage against centers like yao ming. when huge centers patrol the lane, that shot is always open. i'm sure that he can finish inside better than vin baker can. why did they trade him if he's supposedly doing well in europe? maybe it's because the team brass is deliberately trying to run the franchise into the ground! that is the only logical explanation for every single transaction that the team has made (except for signing bremer) since pitino made his exit.
