    Hello guys. I am thinking about the offseason for the rockets and have a few suggestions to the brass at Westside.
    First, our offense ,in our championship years,was built and structured for pure shooters and good low post players. i think Rudy has never left that mindset. Sure, I think he adjusted for our guards. But the fact remains when we hit our shots from the perimeter ,we win. Its sort of live by the sword ,die by the sword.
    So I highly doubt we'll run a different type of offense than we've been runing for the past years. The fact of matter is we need shooters. I think thats the main thing we should aim for. Maybe get a lotto pick or a mid- 1st rounder? I'm sure Rudy will use Bostjan Nachbar this year and that will help.
    I think any pg will not thrive in this offense, it doesnt leave room since our offense isnt structured. If you think Andre Miller was horrible this past season because of team chemistry ,what makes us think he's gonna do any better on our team? I see Andre Miller bolting to Utah.All indictations are he might. Utah's offense is friendly towards pg's. So much so their starting pg is a 40 year old. Albeit , John Stockton is a hall of famer but Utah's offense is structured.And who better to fill the vacant spot of Pg once John Stockton retires than Andre Miller.
    Now Elton Brand is definitely a 20/10 guy. But I think he's not really what we need. I think Maurice taylor this season proved he could score down low. and I dont know how much of a better passer Brand is than him.Instead we should at least get a defensive player ,adequate offensively, for PF this offseason. Maurice Taylor was a perfect bench player this season,in my opinion. If we could get a Pj Brown type or even a poor mans Ben Wallace that would be a great leap in progress. Its possible to nab this type of PF if we trade for a 1st rounder.
    Terrence Morris would be really good if he got nasty on the court. We really dont have that. Every championship team has it. Look what Amare Stoudamire did for the suns. Its taken them out of lotto land and put them in the playoffs.
    Not much can be said for Eddie Griffin this last season but it could of been worse. The hope of that he would of done better than this was there but then sputtered when reality set in. Sure, he is still young, but I dont think he will ever be a dominant factor in the West. There were a couple of games this past season when opposing sides would just have their way posting him up. He should bulk up this offseason but thats not the only problem.Its rumored he doesnt have a very good work ethic. And if he doesnt aspire to be great then most likely he wont. Several things I do like about him .First.his ability to hit the three (not with regularity)Second, his ability to block shots. The main thing is he has to change his shot, its the most horrible thing Ive ever seen. If anythin I'de see what we could get for him. Possibly I'de hope we'de get someone with as much of an upside but yet more solid on the defensive end.
    I think the most solid positions on our team are Center and Backup Center positions. In regards to Cato being moved to pf it would eliminate his effectiveness. plus, anything to shatter his soaring confidence by putting him as starting pf would be horrible.
    My wishes for players coming out of college this draft our as followed;
    Nick Collison PF (would be all Collier was suppose to be)
    Dahntay Jones SG ( this would be a perfect pick if Cuttino is leaving.)
    Luke Ridnour PG( if alot of PG's come out early we could snag him by trading for him. I've been watching him for 2 years. He is awesome in the open court.And is a pretty good 3 point shooter)
    Luke Walton SF-SG ( ANother guy I have been watching for awhile. He could be another Thunder Dan if he develops a 3 point shot. He hustles ,leaves it on the court.)
    Overall , If we could land a high draft pick and nab a Luke Ridour or even go for a Kirk Hinrich would be nice. Basically a shooter.
    If not, then maybe land one in FA. Jon Barry could be a possibility . or even maybe a Eric Piatowski.Someone who has been in the league awhile but will contribute. And basically thats my take . Please let me hear your rocket ramble.

    please put spaces between those paragraphs. it's much easier to read that way. i'm going to try to read it again, but it is very difficult, as is.
