One of these scenarios is what we have here

    1) A real ballboy that is making up stuff

    2) A higher up in the organization is actually leaking the truth, but not to a ball boy, and the "ball boy story" is just to cover this person

    3) A higher up in the organization has intentionally told the ball boy a bunch of garbage to see if it would be circulated here and other places

    4) A person that is not attached to the organization in any way making up stuff

    5) Les himself is posting this garbage to see what the serious Rocket fan thinks.

Chances are, this stuff is made up. It reminds me of buying a penny stock on the "rumor". The "rumor" almost always turns out to be false.

I think it is ridiculous to assume that the ball boy knows what is going on in the organization and Rudy, the coaching staff, and the players wouldn't know. If Les is going to make changes, the first persons to hear about it are going to be CD and Rudy, not some executive or player who is leaking it to the ball boys and obviously not the ball boys themselves. And if the decision to make a change is made, Les is not gonna tell CD and Rudy, and the players, and the ballboys, and wait for it to leak out for 2 months before he says anything about it.

Obviously, these rumors are speculation. We've had at least 2 rumors that Rudy was gone, supposedly from someone in the know, and at least 1 rumor that he was staying from someone in the know. And Doc Rocket has posted both sides of the rumor that he was in the know. This doesn't lend him credibility. It detracts from his credibility. The notion that Les would make a decision to fire Rudy and let it leak to the fans, and then change his mind and decide not to fire Rudy is ludicrous. It is not the way the game is played.

But, if Rudy is fired or resigns or is reassigned, then somebody here is gonna claim they had the "inside info". And if he is not fired or reassigned then somebody is also gonna claim they had the "inside info".

Will Rudy be gone? I don't know. I don't think anybody knows, except maybe Les, if he has decided that at this time. Are there changes that are gonna be made with the coaching/managing of this team? Nobody knows except Les if he has even decided. If Les has decided to make a change, he hasn't told anyone, because CD and Rudy are still the GM and coach respectively. When and if Les decides to make a change, we'll hear about it..........................after he tells CD and Rudy, not after he tells some office clerk, or player, who tells the ballboy. So, we can all speculate from now to the draft, to the beginning of the season, to the day that the coach is changed. But it is meaningless and nobody has the "scoop" except Les. Why don't we have anybody here posting that they talked to Les, that Les told them what was going to happen? It's because it doesn't happen. This is a professional organization, not the George Steinbrenner show, or the Don King circus. Give the Rockets organization some credit please.

As for the speculation, I think Rudy wants to coach, if he is recovered physically to do so. If he does recover physically, I don't think he is gonna quit. If he is healthy and not coaching the Rockets next year, it will be because Les decided to make a change and fired him. And the possibility does exist that Rudy may not be healthy enough to coach. So, there could be a change out of necessity.

And I am going to speculate that there is gonna be a roster shake up of some sort, involving just about anybody except Yao and Steve. I would be shocked if any trade involved Steve. I would be flabberghasted if any trade involved Yao. But everyone else is probably available for the right price. I don't think we will find any takers for MoT. I do think we will find a bunch of suitors for Eddie, Cato, Cat, TMo, Nachbar, and possibly Glen. I think Moochie is going to be hard to move.

It's gonna be an interesting offseason. But please stop with the alleged "inside info" that is just speculation being repeated as "inside info".

Ok, I'm not trying to shoot down credibility right off the bat...but either this information isn't true or it's really dated.

How can a ballboy possibly know what's going on in the offseason? As far as I know, there aren't many locker room conversations when the team isn't playing. And I doubt upper management lets this guy in any meetings, and surely he doesn't get invited to hang out or spend the day with Steve and the gang anytime they go.

Sorry, I'm usually not the one doubting these threads, but this one isn't catching me.

the first pic is of some training jerseys that the players use during practices. not sure if they are available to fans to buy or not. the second pic is of a player's size 16 (sorry...thought they were 20) shoes next to a size 11 shoe.

these really don't do anything except to show everyone that i'm not making what i said up. but it still doesn't prove this "speculation" to be true either. you don't have to believe what i say. in fact, even after this you should probably still be skeptical. i guess the point of all this is to show off my "insider."

jopatmc makes a good point. i don't know how annoying rumors and speculation are to you, but they are to me. i can continue to get this "inside info" as freely as i'm doing now. but only if you guys think it needs to be heard. lemme know.

First of all you should not even post he is a ball boy, someone on this forum can easily report this and get the ballboy demoted to towel boy.

Rudy will be back I would put money on it, you do not send a coach to Europe to cann him.

THEIR WILL NOT BE A NEW COACH

Anyone with a pass to the back can get shoes or jerseys Steve and the rest give their shoes out all the time.
If you have big boobs and look like a dancer type your in luck!
Whats gonna be sad is your ballboy is gonna look like a dodge ball when RUDY IS COACH AGAIN.

Dammit Eric! Stop doing that. You don't have to verify rumours because it's just that..rumours. And this is a forum that built for all sorts of Rockets talk, including what you have to you. I, for one, would hope that any information you would like to share in the future (insider info, randon Rocket opinions, game talk, anything) would be posted here without a second thought. People should not post only if they are being repetitive and meaningless, something that doesn't apply to you.

    So keep up the posting.

I was kinda surprised that so many inside the Rox organization want to see Francis go.

But that doesn't give a complete context. Is he mega-stressed to be on a suckwad team? Is he overdoing "The Man" bit? Etc.

I don't think he was really a ball boy...ER just said that to protect him.

Of course, all the ball boys were probably grilled after this thread appeared and then fired, so some innocent ball boys were sacrificied at the expense of our insatiable need for Rockets info! :D

now why did i get the feeling this thread would be brought back up?;) but, of course, just because i bring up a rumour and it actually comes true doesn't mean you should hold on to every word i say. but just so you know, "ball boy's" job is still secure, and you can count on me in the future for more news...err, speculation

Some folks owe ER and his "ball boy" an apology, or at least props for the news.

So does this mean that SF is next?

    Winds of change indeed.
