I'm still trying to figure out, how Mcgrady went around the league requirements for new player physical witout going through it? That's a crack of $41t!!!
The story had plausability up until... ...and then it all just came unravelled for him. I'm calling total BS!
I was looking at your quotes OddsOn, and it leads me to wonder, how can anybody hate JVG? It seems TMac loves him. It seems TMac loves the team. But my source isn't the only person who's told me that players don't like JVG. Someone I know who is close with several Comets players said the same.
i believe you're story i just think the guy who gave it to you has no idea what he's talking about. as far as gundy, i've heard way more direct positive feedback from players then negative. the only guy i can think who didn't like him was mo taylor.
I believe the NBA has a rule that ALL players MUST take a physical and PASS it before ANY trade can be accepted. This is done not only by team doctors but also the results have to be sent to the league and approved. So IF the Rockets did not give T-Mac a physical then this dude needs to shut up because the Rockets could be in serious crapola because they would have essentially screwed around with the league and we all know what happened to Minny for pulling that stuff. And as for Hakeem didn't demand a trade? Well maybe this guy is telling the truth and the "official" story is a lie, HOWEVER the official story was that he demanded a trade, the Chronicle was pretty adamant even ESPN back then that Dream did demand a trade. The way I remember it was Dream asked for 4 years guaranteed and about $18 million, the Rockets said no way and offered something like 2 years $10 million, Dream then demanded a trade once his agent found a team (reportedly Raps were only team that agreed) that would pay Dream that and give him 4 years guaranteed. The Rockets claimed Hakeem was physically about done as team doctors said his knees were totally shot and the Rockets offered 2 years with serious doubts he could even play 1. Dream was dealt to Toronto and they were the consensus pick to win the East..........Dream's knees failed him and that was that, his incredibly brilliant career ended on a sour note. Perhaps the "official" story is wrong, but considering Toronto paid hakeem $18 million for less than a season of sub-par play I doubt the official story is wrong. Dream simply demanded way too much. As for this opinion on dealing Yao....not a chance no way Yao - 2nd biggest cash cow ever to Jordan, and worldwide he's almost as big. He's a much bigger cash cow overall than Lebron, Stern even admits this.
Seems to support my fears about Tracy McG.If his statement about the fact is true then the Rockets need to be more business like and trade Tracy before its too late. There is only this one chance to Trade, once our season starts we are stuck with him for the rest of his contract, lets hope that it is for positive reasons!
NBA physicals are questionable... Jason Collier took MANY of them...how did the fact that he had a heart problem slip through? I could go on and on...Bobby Sura...was hurt before he got here...Adrian Griffin...same. Also, i think this post is valid...and I am pretty sure I know who the source was....ex-player...involved in organization...played under Chaney...played in Phillipines. Take a look at the team pic...shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Umm, he contradicts himself. First he says the Rockets traded Hakeem and then he says the Rockets just let him go in free agency.
not to the extreme he used, but i agree wholeheartedly. ryan bowen being on our team and getting minutes says so much about his stubbornness and his unflinching desire to do things his own stupid, ridiculous way. it's nauseating. there is no way bowen should be in the nba. you are playing 4 on 5 when he's on the court. i dont want to ramble too much about him so i'll stop here. i just want a normal coach who can make a team enjoyable to watch while winning games. gundy is clueless, and watching his style of play is brutal.
I don't think so. There have been trades in the not-to-distant past in which the receiving team waived the physical. There have also been teams that found a problem in a physical and decided to do the trade anyway. Physicals are common practice, but I don't think they are mandated in any way. But, I have to agree with the concensus. The guy may be a former Rockets, he may have connections with the team, be he seems to engage in a lot of revisionist history and is not a reliable source of information.
burritos can kill!! i agree with previous comments... sounds like this guy is bitter toward the rockets. he definitely wanted to get a job or something and was turned down. but he's mainly full of it. drop his name why don't you? or is it really derek chevious?
