    Again.
If this is such a crisis why not even bring up the bipartisan deal on immigration to a vote now?

if Republicans don’t feel it’s tough enough they can always bring up other legislation later. Instead they just keep on saying it’s a crisis that needs to be addressed immediately yet do nothing about it.

This would be like saying you have a flat tire but won’t add air to it because you think you can get a new tire months from now.

To the typical American this logic makes perfect sense, for the maga group it's better to yell FIRE and not put out when you have a fire extinguisher right next to you. The sad part is the border is the number one hot button issue and its all Biden`s fault if you listen to the gop and they get their message out so much better than the dems. I wonder what would happen if Biden would give them what they want and shut the border down, it would obviously go through the courts....would maga sue to keep the border open? I don't get the logic and my brain hurts from this being the number one issue and nothing is being down about it

Worth repeating everytime: If this is such a crisis why not even bring up the bipartisan deal on immigration to a vote now?

Republicans are generating a faux crisis for political reasons, or there is a real crisis, but they don't care for political reasons.

If you shut the southern border down (said with our military), the U.S. economy will suffer greatly. It will impact 70+% of the agricultural workforce in the U.S. It will impact nearly $1 trillion in trade. It will impact tourism (~19 million visits to the U.S. from Mexico per year). It will probably have a 100-300 billion impact PER MONTH.

This is why when Trump said it's a national emergency, he wanted to only shut down crossings between the ports, not the whole border. Court shut him down. When Biden tried this, the court shut him down too. The bipartisan deal on immigration would legally allow POTUS to do this.

No POTUS in their right mind would ever do this, unless of course they don't fear public reaction or there is truly an "invading" force from the south.

I`ve said this before, the dems stink on messaging, I wish they would talk more about this and what CAN be done, like passing the border bill but they seem to just let them gop say what they want and they dont talk about the FACTS enough..........mage folks won't care but independent folks who are "scared" by the rhetoric might...............call them out more and point out the lies and hypocrisy

or come up with a solution. we are all aware of the problem. pretending it doesn't exist, or blaming your opponents' intransigence, is not leadership. you have control of 2/3 of government. use it for something productive, rather than "something, something Trump, something, something MAGA, something, something RAYCISS!!!!"

the voters aren't buying it anymore.

Two thirds of the government, and come up with a productive solution, you must mean something like this...

    Biden White House:

    United States Senate, Bi-partisan agreement:
