I just saw the sports report on Channel 2 NBC News and JVG said Snyder will start at the 2 Wednesday. Also, Dikembe said he'll forgive the fan if he apologizes. The fan, however, said he wants to sue Mutombo, the Magic, or the NBA. Crazy fool.
Was there ever any doubt that's the kind of guy he is? The shirt alone should have given that away. I bet if someone conducted a study, they would find a significant correlation between people who wear tacky shirts and people who are low lifes. Again, not generalzing...don't want to upset any people that may wear tacky shirts and have hearts of gold...but there'd be a correlation.
pretty sure they're included in R2K's highlights of the Magic game. I don't think they've been posted yet though.
Back on topic now, I like Snyder being the 5th starter. He can get out and run and finish strong, and this insures that Battier will our 4, for right now. I'm happy with the starting 5 and I hope it stays that way and Bonzi Wells will be the 6th man and be more of a scoring option when T-Mac and/or Yao is on the bench.
The only thing that worries me about Snyder at this point is that his 3 point shooting was good some games and then completely nasty looking in others. An NBA three point shooter should never hit the backboard from the corner...ever. His FT's worry me too.
I like Snyder as the 5th starter, he's a good, strong defender and can go to the basket. He's not a great shooter, though. With Bonzi coming of the bench when Yao and/or T-Mac are out, this is a very good option IMO. And on top of that, that means no Juwan in the starting 5 !
Just wonder, was Synder really only looking for his own shot and never try to pass in the preseason as Bryon Scott said before?
This is FANTASTIC. Wells is a starter caliber talent that can come off bench. It reminds me when Cuttino was the 6th man. Gives us a big boost when starters sit. Can you imagine if he can go 22/15 vs. a Spurs starting lineup he should be very solid versus just the bench scrubs. Bonzi will give good punch and also we need him on floor with reserves SO Novak will be left open sometimes. Snyder doesn't command double teams like Wells may.
This is the same starting 5 we used in pre-season games. As I remember, we start most of the games really slow and shoot horribly. I hope they can figure things out as soon as possible.
Yao vs Okur Battier vs Boozer T-Mac vs Kirilenko Snyder vs Miles Alston vs Williams Wells vs Harpring The only one I'm worrying about is Battier. Could he defend Boozer well or even beat him???
Snyder plays hard but has poor shooting. Hope he won't shoot too many in the season if he doesn't improve his FG%
An nba player should never blow a layup either.........but it happens.......occasionaly.....even to good players. Thats why your teammates run the floor behind you on fastbreak. If he hit the board on that 3, his teammates should rebound it and score.
Slick ball, maybe? I hope he doesn't end shooting a whole lot of three's....he's good at getting to the basket. That is where I want him to showcase his game. Go hard to the basket, create for others, and use his size to his advantage. With him at 6'6", McGrady at 6'8", Battier at 6'8", I like that size at the 2,3, and 4. It's a good mix of athleticism too.
Battier can take Okur and Yao can take Boozer.....Okur plays a lot outside and Boozer only inside. DD
It's like one of those slick silk shirts you'd expect to see on those guys that wear gold chains and have hairy chests. Paisley, I think, with orange colors and stuff. Very loud.
