Did anyone else see that Ray Lewis cartoon last night? I laughed so hard tears were gushing out. Of course the rest of the show sucked. I don't even know why I watch anymore. Will Farrel is funny, the rest of the cast is ****. I guess I miss the old SNL ------------------ snap crackle pop
Back in the 90's I only watched SNL b/c American Gladiators was next. American Gladiators was the bomb. ------------------
lol gladiators sucked! but don't they have a wrestling version now? Battle Dome or something. Comes on right after SNL down here. Or it used to. ------------------ snap crackle pop
Crisco, YOU are funnier than SNL, why waste your time? It will only bring your humor down. When will you be in Houston next (spring break)? Gimme dates... ------------------ Take an object. Do something to it. Do something else to it. " " " " "
I can't really say right now Rimmy. I was planning on going Spring Break, but things have changed. If i do go, it will probly be spur of the moment and just be for a few days. I'm definitely going on a road trip, it just depends on where me and my wife actually want to go. If there is a Rockets game during Spring Break, mebbe I can get my wife to go, hehe. If not Spring Break(like a week away or so) then definently after in Summer, or maybe even a weekend road trip whenever now that I have a dependable car. ------------------ snap crackle pop [This message has been edited by CriscoKidd (edited March 04, 2001).]
SNL has gone to hell. All they do is rehash the same old sketches over and over again. The characters are so boring, its far more irritating than it is enjoyable. I really only watch for the political sketches, which have been consistently good since the 96 election. I LOVED Norm McDonald's Bob Dole impression. That was good. The Clinton and Bush impersonations are also top-notch. Problem is, political sketches are usually the opening sketches, which means the rest of the 85 minutes is filled with grade-A crap. They really need to hire some new writers, because they are just so unoriginal now. The cast is pretty boring as well. Ratchel Dratch? Horatio Sanz? Ouch. I miss Tim Meadows, Norm McDonald and Jim Brewer. The hosts are almost always no-names now. They get people to host that know nothing about comedy. They need to get comedians hosting the show again. I can't wait until Conan hosts the show. That will be entertaining, I am sure. Then it will go back to hell. SNL should just become an all-political comedy show, because that is all that works now. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
True, that TV funhouse is funny as hell though! The Ray Lewis thing was great! Did you guys ever see the Michael Jackson one? The skits last night were terrible, the only thing that saved the show was J-Lo's boo-tay! ------------------ Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else first.
Speaking of American Gladiators, everyone remembers who used to be a host on it. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. atheistalliance.org
And I bet you find some way to blame Rudy T for this. But you are right. I really haven't watched for years now. I was there in the beginning, with Ackroyd, Belushi, Chase, et al. Now those were the days! Today's show? Blah.... ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Up here in Canada they show the old SNL's immediately after the new one, and yesterday they had one from around '90 or '91 with Michael J. Fox hosting. It was freaking hilarious, especially when they had David Spade and Dana Carvey immitating Fox. Man do I miss the good old days of SNL. The Akroyd/Radner days were funny as well. Crisco, I was just asking because I'll be there March 18-21, wanted to see if there was a chance for you to lose pickup game. ------------------ Take an object. Do something to it. Do something else to it. " " " " "
I guess I'm the only one that still loves SNL. ------------------ www.swirve.com...The reason Al Gore invented the internet.
i still watch it. Jimmy Fallon rocks! this week's host is Conan O'Brien so it should be pretty funny. [This message has been edited by outlaw (edited March 05, 2001).]
No RM95, you have company. I love the current cast. It must be me but i find the majority of the skits hilarious. Sure beats MADtv. The 'commercial' for Cracklin' Oat Brand now with XTC had me rolling. Too funny. ------------------
The homocil commercial was funny a couple of weeks ago too. ------------------ www.swirve.com...The reason Al Gore invented the internet.
