It seemed like a pretty good night for SNL. I know this actor but, man, that is one hyper guy based on watching the show. One could mistake him for being on speed or something. I kept thinking at the very end when he was standing next to Dave Matthews thanking every one that Dave was thinking this guy needs some Valium or something. lol. Best moment for me was Dave Matthews doing his Ozzy impersonation. That was spot on to me. I also liked how the Ozzy character ripped into the David Matthews character with valid points. I think there are a lot more DMB haters than likers out there. I'm somewhere in the middle.
Did they leave an f-bomb in there? "All she wants to do is f*** me" at the 1:34 mark. Sure sounded like that to me.
Here's the opening monologue with Make Em' Laugh: <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-PttH1Z1DmA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-PttH1Z1DmA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I dunno about you guys but that skit with Keenan where he is the host on BET with "Whats Up With That" was way too funny. Also it had an Al Gore sighting!
2 minutes into the Jimmy Fallon interview, i couldn't figure out if he was on drugs, he was auditioning for more roles, or both. regardless, before i even got to your post, all i could think about was him portraying a young Joker.
The best part of both of those sketches is when he starts singing back what the person he's interviewing is saying. The first one had Abby Elliot(she's cute) playing an environmental "bialogalist": <object width="512" height="296 "><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/OxSKp04Pco-5FOuPGd-R_w"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/OxSKp04Pco-5FOuPGd-R_w" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" width="512" height="296"></embed></object>
The other link broke, this blew my mind. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XycskismwXQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XycskismwXQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
This looks like a pretty starightforward cover of Arsenio's preacher character from Coming to America. But if he couldn't do anything else with it after 21 years, no biggie. Sudeikis and Forte get points for bringin' the goofy; and Kristen Wiig for doing that ski-dance and then pop-locking, all to the beat. A six-minute killer sketch with what I'm assuming was the entire cast, and maybe 12 seconds of actual scripted dialogue.
Was sincerely unimpressed with his voice and typically dislike song openings, as I think they're a copout against writing a good monologue; but that seeing that stunt, twice in a row, was definitely worth it. I don't know if Gordon-Levitt's very energetic, or he just knows that this is his window. How is Shia LaDouche getting blockbuster roles (Indy, 2 T-former pics) with people like this around?
