Does anyone know what that huge billow of black smoke near the galleria is? I can see it from my window but I cant find anything about it on the news.
610 Northbound at Fournace in Bellaire. According to KTRH, 610 North traffic is backed up all the way past the curve to the Reliant Park area.
ima and Castor, lol! jackasses. I remember last year when an 18 wheeler full of chocolate turned over and caught on fire. It shut down all of I-35 southbound. The closer and closer you got, the more and more you could smell the damn wreck!
You think thats bad? About 5 years ago, a truck full of "sludge" overturned on 610. Traffic was backed up for hours. Speaking of backed up, three guesses what the "sludge" was.
We had something similar to this in the little town where I work. I was in the front office last Friday and a lady called in to tell them her kids would be late because there was a wreck on the highway that comes into town. While she was on the phone she screaming "Oh my God!". Then she was telling the secretary that a 18-Wheeler just exploded. the rig was the only car involved and ems had gotten the driver out before it blew up. I was watching the smoke from my window, but didn't bother trying to find out what it was. Apparently, 5 people involved, none killed. That's good. Read your town charter, girl. 'If foodstuff should touch the ground, that foodstuff should be turned over to the village idiot.' Since I don't see him around, start shoveling!
The north bound main lanes are closed. Sports Radio 610 didn't say anything else or I just didn't hear it.
