I've been having problems falling asleep for a while now. I mean my body is tired but my mind won't let me sleep! I guess I have too much on my mind cause lately I've been stressed with all sorts of things (probably grew a few more white hairs too). I'm always thinking about what I have to do tomorrow.. It sucks.. I try not to think too much but sometimes I lay in bed restless for hours. This is becoming very annoying.. :(

Now I'm considering downloading some peaceful meditating music onto my ipod to help me sleep at night.

I have this ambient sound maker that makes various nature sounds. For example it makes rainforest sounds, rain and thunder, white noise, ocean, etc..

    Its like this: http://www.homedics.com/prod/detail.aspx?ID=178

but without the alarm clock. You can get it for like 15-20 bucks at retail stores.

Or you can download a some mp3 tracks of these noises and play it on your cd player.

I can't sleep with music on, but when I want something that will absolutely relax me, I listen to the album "December" by George Winston - solo piano music. Really quiet and peaceful.

Lol... same here.. I'd just like to find something that would lull me to sleep.. ANYTHING that could help me sleep.. I seriously think I have mental problems sometimes.. My mind's racing and it won't let me just relax. I try to "X" it out but then I start paying attention to the "X"-ing out which keeps me awake??

I can't sleep to music. It works me up, slow or fast, good or crappy. I'm always concentrating too much, breaking down bits of it, thinking about the stuff I like about it (even if there's just one thing).

Don't think at all. Just stop thinking. Your mind is swimming with it's thoughts. It is on autoplay and needs a break. There are little spaces in between your thoughts. That's where you need to be. Take notice of how your mind functions. Label your thoughts. Watch them arise and dissipate. They control you. But just give them a smile and let them go. After a while the storm inside your head will settle like a glass of still water. Then you will sleep.

And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend,
Be sure and tell her SATAN, SATAN, SATAN!!!"
