    I don't know but the NBA is r****ded. Only players who have been in the L 3 years or less can enter. I'm not sure that they've gotten rid of the wheel either.

    Seriously...they have the guy who is generally considered the best dunker ever, in his prime, and he said he wanted to do it this year, and they make a stupid rule, so he can't play. I understand why a few years ago they said if he joined again it would be a given he'd win, but that was 3 years ago. I don't understand this as a marketing play. You get VC in, you get waaay more viewers. Do you think better dunkers would compete to try and beat him, pr avoid like the league said they would a few back?

    The slam dunk contest could be one of the most entertaining events in sports if the NBA did it right. I will never understand what their thinking is when they put this together.


    Now that I know Ricky Davis is in it, I know that theres no way I will watch.

    How can LeBron and Melo not be in it? This event is supposed to be about showcasing guys like that. God, they should kill it now before it continues to suffer.

    stoked about seeing anderson in the contest. good seeing a player from the nbdl make it to the nat'l spotlight. the guy has had some badarse put-backs, alleys, and dunks. going for him all the way.

    might not be that bad...
    Jason Richardson - stepped it up last year
    Chris Andersen - i know he can jump, but not sure about the dunk contest
    Fred Jones - this kid can sky. i saw him in the college dunk contest last year and he had some amazing dunks.

    There's a quote from Lebron James that people are telling him he should be in it. So maybe they'll let him in and then everyone will want to watch. But then, these are the people who did the wheel.

    wow! they might as well just give jason richardson the title for the third time.. this slam dunk contest will suck. let him go against vc, stevie, kobe, or even t-mac. that would be quite interesting.
