Skype problems

Do you use a headset, or speakers and a mic? Do you switch those from time to time?

Occasional updates to Windows, to your audio drivers, and Skype itself can affect how your system reacts to such things.

I know my wife's computer has to be turned on with her USB headset already plugged in, for example, or it simply won't work, and defaults to her internal speakers no matter what.

Try unplugging all speakers/headsets, turn the system on, let it boot fully, and then shut down Windows and power it down completely.

Then plug your device back in, and power it back up. That might get it to stop messing with your settings.

Other than that, you may have to contact Skype's support..

 

Don't know, but it's probably for the best. You need to go back to making video games instead of skyping Sports Talk radio

Try ooVoo for live video conferences... and gmail's video chat works pretty well too.

 

ive had problems with skype in the past as well. i switched to oovoo. it's pretty cool cuz it has up to 6 ppl on video chat.

sightspeed is also good.
