I was hesitant to start a new thread about how undermanned the rox are, but I couldn't resist and my title is the main point. This is to talk about the great job jvg and adelman has done subpar talent and a true gage of the type of players that management have surrounded tracy and yao with. Since yao is hurt, I'm going to use the western conference playoff rosters. I'm going to drop some number and see what people have to think.

Since 02-03, the rox don't have a player to make the asg except for tracy. The other wc teams are as following:
    no-3,la-2,sa-4,utah-3,phoe-3,dal-3,den-3.

U want to know why the rox struggle offensively? Since that same yr, the rox have 2 players (jackson and tracy) that have avg 15ppg in a season. Here is the breakdown of the other wc:
    no-3,la-3,sa-5,utah-4,suns-4,mavs-5,nugs-3.

I'm not saying having guys playing asg and scoring 15ppg is the end all be all, but guys that can score will find a way when they get mismatches. Guys that have never done it, just don't all of a suudden learn.

Didn't Yao make the All Star game, like every year?

Didn't Yao average more than 15ppg game, like every year but his rookie one?

I agree we need more help but Yao and Tmac are about 50% of the offense or more...so there is not really going to be another player averaging all that many ppg.

DD- I thought I said playoff rosters :D. The point is team in the wc playoffs have 3 guys avg 15 ppg or more. If u look at the spurs who is the gold standard, they have the big 3, plus no one is surprised when finley hits 15. Its a shock when a rox not named yao or tracy does it.

I think you also have to point out an important fact in that our bench vs the Utah bench is like in the words of Jason Freidman, NO CONTEST.

NOt only that, most squad have 3 or 4 good passers on thier playoff roster

We only have TMac thus far. Everbody else is average at best, except Hayes and maybe Brooks.

And TMac is tha only due on our squad along with Brooks who has really good handles. BJackson is suspect. Everybody else i cringe when they try to handle tha offense.

    Rockets over Jazz in 7.

    A line up of
Yao Ming, Scola, Artest, McGrady and a decent Point Guard
+ Battier and two other players at least as good as Battier but more athletic.
no player should be less than 77ins tall. No more midgets please! :p
