turn overs, forced shots, and hogging the ball. We need to get rid of some dead wait and cap room for a good point guard so Steve can play the 2 and 3 where he belongs. It would be nice if we still had Sam Cassell. I think we would have three peated if we had not traded half the team, which had great chemistry for Charles Barkley. I like the man and his play for the Rockets but we gave up way too much for him. And don't even get me started about messing up the teams chemisty getting Scottie Quitten. I don't feel like the team now has good chemistry. We have spent long enough trying to build a team around Steve Francis. I don't think you can build a team around him, especially when he is playing a position he was not meant to play. It is time to try something else and maybe lets see...build the team around Yao. He's going to be a superstar and he is a hard worker and unselfish. It would be easier to build a team around him. It is time for Rudy to take control of the team and realize it is his team and not Steve's.
Moochie, Please stop posting under a fake name. Rudy does not read this bbs and you have no chance of becoming the starting point guard. Go away.
I thought we just put the final pieces of the puzzle in place by adding Posey, Yao, and Nachbar. Why not give this team a chance to gel. Franchise will never be a prototypical point gaurd, but he is one of the top scoring point gaurds in the league. Why does everyone always want change? Just let the team continue to play and WIN together. That is what they are doing now.
Don't we have enough "Hate Steve threads" when we have plenty others that can be posted in. Why can't we just make another forum for all the bad and negative posts? I don't like seeing these kinds of posts after each game, especialy after very good games vs. very good teams.
I think I speak for most on the board when I say. "Shut up" Dude, you got called a "Troll" on your first ever post. Lession learned I hope. If your going to start out hating, at least wait a few posts like I did.
Why in the world would you want Steve to play the 3 position? That is worst than the point guard. Steve doesn't have the height or the defense to defend most 3's so let's not start
Closed Thread Wow these threads close fast. I only took a lunch break and had a quick work out and the thread is closed. On the sick of Franchise Thread - I'm just a frustrated fan, but more than willing to wait it out. My frustration is largely due to wasting 135 dollars to get the NBA pass last year and watching the Rockets worst season that I have seen. I didn't get the pass this year because I couldn't afford it this year. Fox Sports plays all the Dallas games where I live so I only get to see a few of the Rockets game on TV; but I know I can always catch the Rockets on TV when they play the lakers since just about every lakers game is on TV. I wanted to see if I'm the only one or if other fans are frustrated too. I guess I am the only one according to the responses. I'm not a hater or a fair weathered fan, just frustrated. I'll always be a Rockets and Texans fan, and where I come from (Waco, TX) rooting for Houston teams rather than Dallas teams is rare. I dislike Dallas teams because I'm loyal to Houston and I feel a lot of Dallas fans are rude, obnoxious, and bandwagon fans. But I'm finding out maybe that is just people in general. Thanks for the warm welcome. Steve is the ideal 2 guard. I like Steve. I have his poster in my classroom, but I don't like him as a point guard. As far as the small forward position. I thought maybe he could play there just a little bit if needed to; for rotation, to give rest to the other 3, to allow Mobley good minutes, and keep him on the floor since he is such a good athlete. That is if we had a true point guard on the team. We are doing better than last year and though we dropped from being third or fourth in the west to 7th and 8th, at least we are in the run for the playoffs; and I am thankful for last season because it got us a first round draft pick. Peace and God Bless
I think the reason it was close was because there has been tens if not hundreds of threads stating the same thing. One of which is on the front page. There is no reason to start new threads on a subject that has already being discussed in another current thread.
If your thread was closed the first time for its content, why would you start another thread with the same topic?
As you can see I'm new here so that is why I missed the other 10,000 threads. I posted it again because I never got a chance to reply and I wanted to respond in a more positive way.
Precisely because you are new, you should have lurked a while to get a feel for this board before you start a thread like that (especially a negative thread). FYI, if you haven't noticed yet, this is the most knowledgeable, intelligent, and talented sports bbs in the world. We hold our posters to a very high standard.
Thanks for the replys, I do understand the reason for the closed thread. But I still think I have a reasonable complaint that is reasant. Yao shot 57 percent the last game and he only shot the ball 7 times. mmmmmm
Captain, you'll find a thousand posters to agree with you. You haven't said anything that hasn't been said 100 times before. But, you need to take the time to read their threads to see. Listen to Easy: lurk a bit, post in existing threads, then start your own.
Not a bad deal when you consider this is the price of a pair of average tickets to one Rockets' game.
You must not have seen a lot of seasons then. I was one year out of high school, living on my own with plenty of disposable income to blow on Rocket games. The year? 1982-83. The record? 14 wins, 68 losses. That was tough.
