Simply put it is the best animated movie to come out since the Lion King. A VERY well done movie. DaDakota ------------------ If you like RTS games, check out this one. www.frontierwars.com coming soon to a PC near you.

We must have been watching a different movie. I had NO desire to see ANY of the movies that were playing last night, but due to you two having such high opinions of this movie, I took a chance. Now both of you can go to hell. Seriously, though, I don't know HOW it was enjoyable. There were a few funny moments--I won't deny that--but I found it largely stupid and very NON-funny, for the most part. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Monkey, do you fall in the age range that is too old and too young to enjoy watching it? ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
Shrek was really amazing. Mike Myers and Murphy were a good combo. Gotta love the gingerbread man scene. I'm 20 and saw this movie so age isn't a factor. Very amusing film, and highly recommended. Also, the graphics are awesome. ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater

I thought it was pretty good. I went to see it because I'm a big Eddie Murphy fan, and he didn't disappoint me. ------------------
i got two free tickets to this from kroger, but nope i dont see it happening. ------------------ i am my own worst enemy!

When I saw the gingerbread man on crutches at the end, I almost died laughing because it was so funny. ------------------
I saw this movie tonight, and thought it was pretty hilarious. The ending was a bit preachy and expected, but hey... kids were the audience, and you can't fault what they were trying to say. Much more worth my money than Pearl Harbor . ------------------ A few years back on the Senate floor... Phil Gramm: "If Democrats could, they'd tax the air we breathe." The gingerbread man was hilarious. I thought it would be a kids film, but it really isn't geared towards kids at all. This was especially funny, because there were many kids in the theater. During some of the jokes that I know they didn't get (like the castle "compensating for something else" joke), they laughed hysterically. I guess they were just imitating the adults. Anyway, it is not a kids film, and it was pretty funny. Certainly something I would recommend seeing, especially if you have free movie tickets to it. ------------------ What is daylight savings time? So, me and my wife are standing there at the theater looking at the "big board".... There's nothing showing that appeals to either of us (that we hadn't already seen). So, I tell her that I'd heard good things about "Shrek", and we might as well risk it. It is a cartoon after all, how bad could it be? Well, we were very happy with our choice afterwards. It was funny. It wasn't great, but it was good. One thing though, I don't like the computer animation nearly as much as the drawn animation. Why do the characters have to be all shiny and crap? 8 quadrillion dollars and everyone has a sheen about them... sheesh. ------------------ DREAMer's Rocket Page
Dreamer, They don't have to be shiny, it is a stylistic choice. DaDakota ------------------ If you like RTS games, check out this one. www.frontierwars.com coming soon to a PC near you.
